    Gah! x 5 million think i've killed the pump as its making an awful racket now. I think its got an air lock somewhere but I cant get it out! I've tried burping the car by turning the steering etc and bubbles to come out but it still hasnt quitened down. had to get it towed home from a mates place yesterday.... I'm gonna get a mechanic in to drain and refill the system which *should* clear any air lock but its looking like new pump time.

    gah! i was able to remove 2 of the bolts holding the reservior to the pump but I can get the third one off >_< its the one closest to the distributor, access is limited and I cant see a way of removing it. I've been tyring for the last hour or so and no joy. Help :(

    Thinking about getting an mp3 stereo for my car, what do I need? Wiring loom, plate adaptor etc? Will I loose the sub? And finally could I still use the cd changer?

    Mines getting a bit tired, so I was thinking of replacing it. I've seen a couple on ebay.com but theyre for LHD, so does anyone know where to get one from?

    just spoke to lexus they only sell a powersteering pump seal kit that contains the o ring for £20 ish how hard is it to re seal the entire pump?

    Got a strange problem that I cant figure out, whenever I view a thread the first post is fine but any others in a list, which when you click on it expands only that post. If i click Lo fi version, all the posts become readable? any ideas?

    Finally got a center cap for my ls ebay uk was charging silly amounts £>25!! Won an auction on ebay.com for a used center car - £8.73 including shipping from America! well happy! I'm going to try and source all of my parts from the good old us of a from now on!

    How can I sort out my boot release as it only sometimes works?

    got some dextron 2 from the local garage and topped up the fluid: a little from the off, then I went driving, lots of mixed driving and making sure to do lots of lock to lock turns. I stopped every fifteen minutes and checked the level (when hot) and topped it up a few times. the last time I stopped it was bang on the marker :) and the whining (along with my own) has stopped \o/ I'm gonna keep an eye on it this week but fingers crossed and all that heheh

    bog standard atf fluid yeah? I checked the pot and it seems about 1/4 full on cold - I assume that this is low?

    just as I was planning on selling the car starts acting up: noise when I turn the wheels and a whine when I press the accellerator >_< first thoughts - screwed ps pump and altenator, second opinons please :)

    I took a punt on a 1997 LCD air con display, I was just wondering if it would if my 93 ls400? it looks to be the same shape etc?

    I need to get new tyres for the ls400 fairly soon, should I stump for new alloys at the same time? If I stay with the stock alloys whats it the best tyre for the car?

    are you sure as my 93 has the pwr/ect button next to the gear lever but not on it?

    Trying to source some new tyres the ones on currently are on the car are: 225/60 R 16's which seem a bit slow for the car? I was thinking 60 V's instead?

    Yeah I am really enjoying it so far :) need new tyres as the dealer put one new one on the n/s front but the o/s one is fairly low on tread, but they didnt balance it or adjust the tracking which means the steering out. bah I cant afford new tyres this month :'(
