does this apply to the mark 3 ls400 or not?

Steve they just emit too much black dust for my liking otherwise no complaints
have you ever tried greenstuff?

hi
due to work commitments i bought genuine pads and had them fitted locally. The garage was relectant to cut the wires so i still have the brake pad warning light on but the brakes abviously work fine. I am however very dissappointed in the brake pads - the simply emit too much black dust - i do most local driving and the alloys are black within a week.
If anybody can recommend some decent brake pads which dont emit too much dust then i shall be glad to hear from them.

A couple of weeks ago the central locking on the front passenger side failed and I diagnosed that as the power and correct signals were reaching the unit it had to be the motor.
So today the door lock assy was completely removed and stripped down ( no mean feat) and the motor in the unit was partially seized ( tested by puuting a 9 volt battery across the terminals). I then sprayed some servisol switch cleaner in the motor and that finished it off altogether.
Anyway reassembled the thing and refitted it back to as it was before and have made some enquiries on ebay for a replacement.
If there is anyone on here with a spare or breaking a car please let me know.
Also am I just unlucky or has this problem occured before with the locks?
steve there is a silver one beng broken on that auction site - have you tried them? - its definatley advertised as a celsior

I sat in 08 plate c class merc last week - i was very dissapointed with the interior. Very Hallowey cheap looking plastic. Every speck of dust or minute scratch will show up making the interior look very used and abused. On the other hand The exterior styling doesnt look too bad and the sound system is good aswell. Those banana shapey Mercedes have a bit of a wow factor!regards

hi
this afternoon my ls400 developed a creak coming from the front passenger side. The creak is definatley suspension related as when you push the corner down it can be heard. Before i take it into a garage could somebody shed some light of what it could be?
Could it be possible that due to the warm spell one of the joints has dried out and started creaking?

i think if youre having you oil changed at a "Lexus Dealer" then surely that would be piece of mind itself - never mind what they use
Can anybody put a price on gearbox oil changed at a lexus dealer?
-
that mark 3 reg looks awfully familiar - now where did i see it........................
-
that has got to be a very good price - my brother has been quoted £150 minimum for his 02 astra - if only the garage was nearby
-
it looks nice in a wierd kind of way - i suppose if one was to do a conversion the hardest part would be to strengthening the chassis - and i doubt it the hood will be available off the shelf!

Hi Guys
Anyone know the correct wiper blade sizes for a MK3 LS 400 (1995) as I have been quoted anything from 20" through to 26" and also 15" to 21" HELP !
22 inch driver side and 16 passenger side - i have some flat ones on my mk3 - they work great - to change them - turn on wipers and turn off ignition as soon as they reach their highest point - then change as normal

96 MK3 on 76K - got some catching up to do compared to you guys lol

We often see mk 3 celsiors with the factory sat nav like the MK4 fitted as standard - does this mean the wiring for the sat nav would already be installed in the UK Mk3 LS meaning you can buy a MK4 sat nav unit and just plug and play??
all opinions very welcome

Hi all
Has anybody any information regarding refurbishing of standard LS400 1998 Alloy wheels and if there are any specialists in the March, Cambridgeshire area as all 4 of mine need attention as the original laquer is defective - Thanks.
hi - i have used BJV engineering (www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk) in that past - maybe a bit far but they do the proper job i.e strip, clean and recoat and then bake - wheels looked as good as new after wards
Do not go for the "mobile" wheel refurbishers
hope this helps
