  1. We need to be open yesterday but in reality i think mid/late March. Our field comes in many formats depending on the needs.. If for example your car is lowered then we need to evolve new chassis positions to compliment that, most times lowering is purely cosmetic so the normal request is tyre preservation. We can advance the chassis to fast road or track but not without consequence..... Extreme example is Monster Mats Drifty, his tyres go from new to the wire in 15min :o If I didn't lower the car would you still need another standard car (with 18inch wheels) for chassis checks etc? Is this done as part of the geometry checks or is that something different? As you can tell I've never done anything like this before but am looking forward to the education! Research on the IS200/300/sc running 16" 17" and 18" wheels is complete, the final settings can be found in the clubs knowledge bank. We have a two year study that involves lowering on coil-overs on a Tezza. This displays incremental lowering over time the cars ability to compensate and the final outcome. This information should be available to the club soon. I'm in an IS250 se-l Atuo +MM not an is 200/300...... I'll be down when u're ready for geometry anyways!

  3. Tony, When do you anticipate being fully up and running? I'm still considering my lowering options and am not sure which route to take, However I will want my geometry tested and also am considering your chassis programme?! What exactly would be involved in this? I live in Herts though and usually go through hemel once/twice a month. ps: Have joined WIM forums also but not posted yet.
  4. They do look awful! Why anyone would want these is beyond me... Hope no-one on LOC has these
  5. I probably would have gone for the diesel in terms of MPG, but it didn't come in an auto! No idea why, but that put the final nail in the coffin! I mean the auto box is excellent! Maybe I'm getting old? But I just couldn't do without an auto now especially one as great as the Lexus one. Also find the petrol version alot quieter! The lexus diesel I found quite nosiy too, compared to the Merc (auto) diesel that I had before. Also fancied a change from a diesel this time, so much smoother with the petrol engine. Just my tuppence worth.... ps: Never noticed the ride height difference before, but another reason to go with the 250!
  6. You're welcome! Ps: Where did you get your tints from, they look good also, and what level of tint is that? Also can you give me an idea on costs?
  7. Lol! Don't worry mate! I think it actually looks good with those wheels, different to everyone elses'......
  8. Thanks for the info, and sorry for confusing you! I'll email Eibach and Tein and see what the score is, I'm hoping the minimal drop will help with the ride quality and still look better than stock, but there's no way I could afford coilovers right now ! Her indoors would not be happy... :megaangry:
  9. I did read em ...lol :P Honest guv! I'm just confused!! And new at this so forgive me my ignorance, but if the eibach 350 set give less drop then (as long as they fit) they would still be an option? and would give less drop than yours?
  10. Definitely don't want to go any lower! Was thinking higher hence the 350 spring set instead, but am unsure if either the eibachs or teins will fit! Don't fancy the uk spring set as it gives an even drop all round, prefer the front slightly lower than the back. IMO gives a better stance.... Also the costs are less in the US! ;)
  11. I'm still thinking the 1.4" drop might dwarf my tires?! Also don't want to effect the ride too much and I understand the less the drop the less effected the ride?So am leaning towards the eibach or tein IS350 spring set, are you saying that this will work OK with my car with no problems? If so which would you recommend? Also do you think it'll be worth doing for this small a change, ie will it even be noticeable? Lastly which would you go for? ps: sorry about all the questions!
  12. Try P21S it's good stuff! Think it's called R222 Carnauba Wax now, but it's the same stuff just a different name.
