  1. No mate, the high to RCA just tap onto the cable, as in you dont cut the feed to the speaker and pass it through the high to RCA adapter.

If you just running a sub then you would only need to connect to one speaker, as a sub is mono only.

Looking at the pic i posted, you'd use the blue 2 wire's tapped on to the feed to one speaker + - and the black is grounded to the car body and then just connect to your amps RCA input and your away.

    HTH...

  2. Ok are you planing on keeping an after market stereo? If so get an amp bypass lead for eBay (get the right one, not one of the cheap ***** ones) do a quick search on here for a walk through on how to do it.

As for the TRC button, when you press it does the light on the dash come on, but the button does not light up? then theres a small bulb in the button called a grain of wheat bulb, maplins do these for about £2 each.

If the dash light dosnt work but the button light does then it will be a fuse.

  3. 1, is300 lights wont fit the is200 with out a lot of body work, so not worth the effort IMO.

1a, the self leveling feature is fitted to the suspension not the headlights, and thats a huge job to under take.

2, i'v had hid's fitted in my is200 high n low beams for the past 4 years without any issues and i bought them from eBay.

3, fitting hid's to your fogs light is easy, remove the fogs, there's enough cable to connect the hid's to the loom without removing the bumper, add some lengths of double sided number plate tape to stick the ballasts to the car and refit the fogs.

    HTH.

  4. If you orig stereo was a bottom loader then you have to replace it with a bottom loader sorry.

The connections could be swapped, but that means buying the stereo loom for the top loading unit and cutting both ends off, finding the corresponding wires and soldering them together (royal pain in the butt)

Or skip them both and go after market.

    HTH.

  5. How much you looking for the spats before you put them on ebay paulos? I'll need delivery to Ireland I think they look top and how'd you get your fogs yellow? Im new to LOC so sorry if its a daft question.

Hi mate, the spats are sold now. As for the foglights, they were like that when I got the car.

guessing you using the yellow bulb which give these effect from the inside ... same like when u set up blue bulb on the headlight .. nice car

Nope! No yellow bulbs are fitted, the fogs have to be removed from the car, the bulb holder can be stripped from the back of the unit and the lens is just help in by 2 screws, remove the lens and cover the read flat side of it with yellow film/tint or that yellow glass paint from car shop and refit it all back together, boom, yellow looking fogs...

  6. Hi Sj, i had a parrot kit fitted to my is200, but i didnt conect it to the stnd headunit, i just used the speacker fitted under the glove box route.

I did buy a cable to plug it into the head unit but change to a sony deck before i got round to fitting it.

When i did have it all in with my grom kit and Iphone if the phone rang whilest iy was play from the Iphone the call was taken through the car stereo speakers so didnt see the need to use the parrot sot cable, but if you not useing an Iphone for music just a ipod the i'd get the cable for the parrot.

  7. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ a great help there mate!

Jay, if you remove the headunit from the car, split the two parts (heater controls/stereo) remove the top plate of the stereo (2 or 4 screws) and you will see the cd mech, here you may find some stuck cd's, look down the sides to the bottom and you will see cogs and worm screws, wind the cd mech so you can slid the cd's out of the unit, if you dont have and jammed cd's wind the mech all the way to the bottom then re-fit back in the car and see how you get on.

If this fix still does nothing then its time to buy a working unit, or fit an after market mp3/usb cd player.

    Hope this helps Jay.
