  1. My girlfriend once took her Probe to "Kwik Fit" to get a new tyre and ended up getting new shocks fitted all round "their life time warranty as long as you own the car" said the chap who sold them to her.

2 years later she went back to the same "Kwik Fit" for another tyre, "Miss your shocks are goosed and need replacing!"

"Ok, not a prob" she said and left the car with them, 3 hours later she went to pick it up and was handed a bill for over £300 too which she handed them a recipt for life time warranty on the shocks!!

LOL wish i was there to see their faces when the penny dropped that they fitted new shocks for nothing and diddnt need too!!

  2. Even tho i feel sorry for those people stuck in war torn/ poverty riden countrys.

But sould'nt we sort out our own counrty first? I meen whats to point in giving money away to someone else when people in this country are being laid off left right and center, i know that were still better off than most countrys but people dont have any spare cash to give away.

  3. If your buying a DS lite off the net be very careful as theres a shed load of fakes about, i manage a indie games store and we get loads of people coming in who have had probs with the screens going wrong but more worrying is the chargers that the fake ones come with get too hot and could burn someone or something, we have heard of 2 people that have had shocks from them!!

This www.waltergames.co.uk iv never heard of, but would just be very dubious of someone selling all that gear for that price, if he paid the same rate as i would have for all that stuff he stands to make a loss of over nearly £80!!

So unless it nicked id say its FAKE!!

  4. Ok key update, got 2 of these flip keu fobs off eBay, when they came i was disapointed with the quality (flimsy) and finish.

Today i popped along to a local keysmith, we talked about cutting the blank blade donw in lenght as it was about 6mm longer than the standard key, we desided to cut it back about 4mm so as not to have too much key sticking out the ing barrel.

After a few times in the cutting mechine got it to lock and unlock the car from the drivers door b ut still felt gritty when inserted, so he ran it under a wire whel to take the "edge" off it.

So armed with my newlycut key and happy with paying £2 for all the work he did i set off home to swap the guts with a spare key i had at home.

Swapped the guts over and even fitte a new Battery i headed to my car popped the doors with the fob and pushed the key into the ign barrel and we have contact, it worked....................but then i tried to remove the key fro the barrel!! it was firmly stuck in there!! what the hell do i do now?

The problem was i couldnt push the key down into the barrel far enough to release the key as we've cut it too short...................

Anyway after a few choise words and a lot of bottom movments i got enough push to get the fooker out!!

It is now sat in the glove box when it will stay, dont think i'll use that again!

So if you have bought any of these keys please don't do the same as i did and cut it shorter as you have the same probs as i had.....

On a foot note i did buy 2 so im gonna try it again with out cutting it his time!!!

  5. Stunning.

If you click on it so it opens in youtube itself, then add "&fmt=18" at the end of the url (Without the quotes) it will play it in much higher quality. (This applies to all videos providing the original is decent.)

Good call on that mate, gonna try all my old favs on youtube now sweet.

BTW that guy needs a "check up from the neck up" mad as a box of frogs!!

  6. Fitted my HID's on new years eve and it was bloody freezin so basically just got them working and secured the ballast's abit rough, so was just wondering the best place to secure them and has anyone drilled into the engine bay to do this? as soon as the weather improves i'm going to move them and want to put them in the best possible place, also is it worth taping the connectors up as extra protection against moisture. :)

I'v got HIDs in both driving and full beam so got 4 balast to hide/store.

On the drivers side i'm gonna make a bracket that holds both one above each other.

As to the passangers side, thk im just gonna hide them inbetween the fuse box and under the head light it self.

As like you not gonna do anthing til its about +10c out side...
