how do u go about resetting the ecu then?!

I found 1 for £35 i mite have to go for it. I read that you have an OEM Chrome Tip, would you mind telling me where you manage to get hold of one? Thanks for all input. (from everybody)

Yes ANOTHER post... Only had my car about a month but many things need to be done (ICE, sports grille, etc) including a service. My mechanic said get me the parts and ill do it for £60. My car is a 2001 so i dont think any more lexus service stamps are gonna get me significant money when i sell it, so i wont bother paying £400+. My question is, is anyone using a K&N panel filter instead of OEM. If so would you recommend getting it and where's the best place to source one? Does it really add HP and make the car feel more responsive or is it just a marketing ploy? Thanks all!

the guy asking for 70 will want all the accesories already, hes just gonna fit evrything in. the guy asking for 100 will supply all the parts i.e. wiring, facia etc etc. However, I was thinking of getting the facia and doing all the mods that you have outlined and giving him the finished product, otherwise it would just look cheap. I reckon he would take some cash off accordingly. Or.... Do it all myself with the help of a mate? Where would the amp be installed at the back, screwed on to the backseats?

a3 1.8 or 2.0 turbo. pocket rocket. stay clear if you lookin a race lol or if it a s3 your f*cked. think they over 225bhp yeh i think thats what it must have been cos it literally came from nowhere! just checked the a3's vitals on parkers and im thinkin it was a 1.8T. Lucky i wasnt racing her or it would have been even more embarassing!

talking of races, well it wasnt really a race but this morning the road to work was CLEAR so i thought i would let it rip off the line at the lights. there was an a3 that i left stationary when i moved off. I was giving the car all it had, redline changes, the works. This a3 caught up and overtook me while i was about to redline 4th! I love the IS but y is it so desperately slow?!?!?!?!

Thanks for that lil' tip, do they deliver or do you have to collect it? Also unlike the grille i assume they come unpainted, if so how much would you recommend paying for someone to paint and fit it? any recommendations on where to get the chrome tip? thanks!

I've got a few bits of ICE from my old car that was crashed but they are just sitting around catching dust. The parts in question are... A JBL Amp A pair of Infinity Kappa 6x9s and a Single DIN Kenwood HU I've read Wozza's guide to changing the OEM Changer but I wanted to ask a few questions relating to the whole ICE thing. 1) using an aftermarket HU and bypass lead, does it improve or reduce the sound quality of the oem speakers in any way? the amp that i have is a 2 channel amp and the HU is 4 channel from what i remember, i've read that the one in car is 8 channel. Therefore... 2) can i still utilise the JBL amp in some sort of way, if so what can I do with it? 3) if the HU is only 4 channel, how will it power the 8 speakers found in the car?! Sorry I know ive asked quite detailed questions but i reckon this has to be the place to do so! Thanks everyone

Hi guys, I bought an IS about a month ago due to an accident in my previous car and the IS going for a bargain price. Now i think its time for a few minor (cheap) cosmetic upgrades. I need a sports grille, chrome exhaust tip and a tte or similar spoiler for the boot, the lip type rather than the one with the brake light if you know what I mean?! I need your expert opinions about where to get these from, i've already called my local dealer about the grille and i reckon its the best option price wise to buy it so thats sorted, unless you know of a better and cheaper place to make the purchase. The problem however lies with the spoiler and chrome tip. I searched the parts numbers in the forum and called the dealer, he said these parts were discontinued and would be very hard to find. I called a few (2) others and they said the same... Does anyone know the best place to them? all your help will be very appreciated!!!

Hi there, im new to the forum/club as i only bought my is200 about a month ago. I just wanted to share this with everyone, its a petition on the Prime Minister's website to scrap the new road tax system which closes next march but already has 22,000+ signatures on it, if every one here signs it and tells others they mite use their brains and stop this scam from going through. also if everyone tells there friends and family to sign it, the movement might gain some momentum! hope you all do it, i no i will!
