I've had the IS250SE-L Auto MM (Cadoxton Slate/Black with 18" Hoshis) for just over a week now and I have to say I love it. Tank average is showing 29-odd mpg, which is not bad, seeing as I've been doing mainly short journeys in it so far. Keyless entry is great and I just love the way it all lights up in the night as you walk up to it; footwell lights are neat too.
However...that nanny-nag stuff on the MM is getting on my threes already and I'm feeling a visit to get the Tom's hack kit coming on. Lawyers will ruin what little pleasure there is left in this world, given half a chance... :tsktsk:.
Interestingly, my old MP3 CDs seem to play better than the original CDs from which most of the music was taken, with much better bass response, although the file details greying-out as part of the nannying is somewhat annoying. However, my principal vitriol is reserved for the agree/disagree screen that comes up on starting - what a pointless waste of time, I've not even read it ever, just hit the "agree" (out of interest, might just try tapping the other one to see what happens!) side every time.
All in all, though: fantastic car, the six-speed auto box is sublime, so much so that I only had two minutes' playtime with the paddle gears and went back to lounging in full auto mode after that.
No rattles or loose bits, the road noise is not excessive and it all looks v pretty inside at night. As I say, other than the entirely pointless MM nannying, I have nothing negative to say thus far, nor do I expect to as time wears on. I even managed to get the satnav to find an address in Norfolk this time, unlike when I had the demo!
Me likee, mucho. :D
