another thing, how do i post replys on the group buy section as it wont let me put a post on ellz' carbon thread?

yeah i'll take her to lexus Reading this afternoon, and hopefully they'll sort it for me and its not tooooo complicated or expensive. will it still be under factory warranty as its only done 28500 miles? or will the mods cancel the warranty?

checked under the bonnet doesn't seem to be any water contamination, but as i said the regulator on the right hand side by the fuse box was running really hot after only driving about a mile. i'll have a looksy at the group buy section now, cheers for that info stevie :)

could well be water issue, specially as i got those vents on the bonnet, may have to get a carbon bonnet soon, anyone know of any decent carbon bonnets? not got a code reader as yet could be worth investing in one at some piont as well. ill send steve a message then, cheers peeps!

on my way to my mates house yesterday and half way there the em light came on, still hasnt gone off, we did notice the regulator was quite hot? are these parts liable to break/over heat? and are they expensive? and also when i push the window locking button on the door it disables all my extra gages on the dash (oil pessure/temp/air fuel ratio) and when the windows are unlocked the gages power back up and spring into life again? we checked all the fuses that we could see and they all seemed fine? so its a trip to lexus this afternoon to find out why the fault light is up and maybe to check the window lock as well to see why its interfering with the gages? any one got any checks they think i should do before i finish work and get the car to the garage? thanks Dean

well as i said earlier i will be looking to freshen them up again sometime soon, what colour they will be all depends on what looks the best ill get some black mesh and some red compare them to the silver ones and go from there, but it wont be for at least a few weeks yet as need to find some extra cash and some time, but its definately on the list of things to do, i wanna go up to wim as well anyone got any rough prices for the geo setup? is anyone else planning on a trip up there soon?

i aint changing it back to standard as it will loook the same as everyone elses, the vents gives it a more aggresive look and it looks more like a touring car, always loved touring cars since i was a kid and ive aways said that i wont buy any normal type of street car, so its kinda like my dream. but now with that bit of added luxury lol and ive not been to keen on carbon bonnets so maybe, if any of you have any i'll see what yours are like some time in the future, thats if we aint pulled into a black hole in the next few weeks. i found a nice jaguar 6.0ltr v12 engine earlier for about £5-6k if i had the money id try and squeeze it in lol do ya think it would fit?? but for time being ill leave them on there till i can find some time to take the stickers off, i might get a body shop to debadge it all properly while they unweld the old grilles and stick new ones on, i might get both red and black to see what ones look best. kris yours is still as rare mate as theres a few hunded miles between i've only ever seen one other red one and that was a 200 so there cant be that many about can there?? we gotta try and find the official sales totals for each colour of both 200s and 300s, unless someone already has it tucked away somewhere?? hando im in reading mate, where bouts you at?

thanks everyone i hope not many more reds join yet, as they seem to be a bit of a rarity. i've found this site that does mesh and they also do it in red so i've got a choice do they go black to match the rest of the grilles or do i get the red ones to camo them in that little bit more hmmm decisions. http://www.demonkar.com/category/car_grill_mesh.asp thats the site i've found, so come on more opinions now needed lol. and again thanks for all the welcomes

what coilvers have you got on yours? mines on hks dont know what type though, i keep getting the underside of the front bumper on mine have to be very careful in some places and just swerve a little to stop the xzorst from scraping, i aint ever gunna try and reverse up a driveway lol or even going forward up them, its just not worth it lol

yeah they look alot better when viewed properly but they are starting to show their age with the plastic coating on the trim peeling off so the grilles have seen better days so could be time to get them swapped. i have got some higher res pictures, but they are quite big as they hav more detail, so ill try and get some up after work tommorow. i havent seen any other 300's about seen loads of 200's but as mine only says 'is' its probably twice as hard to spot us lol And yeah ill tag along to some meets, :D but not in no covoys! me and convoys are jinxed!!!

no offene taken mate think the only reason your not sure of them is cos their different, one advantage is they let a lot of heat out from the engine so it can only be a good thing i suppose, plus with the heat haze it makes it look like your driving somewhere really hot lol so makes it that little more enjoyable, i've had all the 'not sure about the vents' from work mates but their used to it now so im sure in time they will become more appealing to your eyes, what do you recon if i was to change them to a black mesh to match the other grilles??

hi everyone, just a quickie to say hello, im dean and i bring to the club a nice shiny red is300, which could of possibly been a member on here before, so when i got some pics up some of you might recognise it. i've had the car for about a month now, but ive only just got out of it for long enough to be able to sign up lol. the car is on 02 plates and ive just put it past 28000. its running on 18" lexus alloys wrapped in pirelli's, it has a HKS airfilter/induction kit, HKS silent hipower zorst, HKS coilovers, TTE bodykit with bonnet vents, and audio all fully rekitted with phoenix gold and kenwood screen, with other goodies!! i need to get it debadged cos previous owner put v12 logos on the front wings, but i can live with it. but getting back to subject... the car was sat in a showroom so i got my hands on the little ruby! i broke the bottom end on my previous car an ST24 so i needed to find my self a good replacement, and i think i found the best replacement i could :) some time soon i think im going to have to go and see those peeps at wim (i've been reading up about it and also found out tony likes the red ones so hopefully i'll be the 3rd red 300 on his list ( see i've been investigating lol)), theres not much left to mod but it saves me time to enjoying driving it and putting the fuel in!!! ill stick a few piccys up later when i've learnt how to put the photos up lol hope to get to know ya all soon :)
