  1. Hello and thanks for that. They may have to wait on the part, so not sure. Tomorrow would be a miracle. More likely next week. Never mind. Thanks, I hope they sort it soon too, as I love the car! Greig :D no problem mate i say its an easy job, it is now i know how to do it, on the 300 the sensor connects under the carpet under the drivers seat, i could of cut the carpet to get to it but i didn't know if there were any other cables running underneath the seat and i didnt want to ruin the carpet lol, so took the seat out and pulled the carpet up, so make sure they dont cheat and ruin your carpets!! go armed with a 22mm spanner just incase lol
  2. hey mate the 02 sensor fault will cause all the lights to come on, i had the same problem a few months back, give them a kick up the ***** its an easy job to do unless, they are waiting for the part to arrivve maybe (not giving them an excuse honest) but hope they sort it soon for you mate.
  3. see i knew this was wierd and still never been able to engage it
  4. they are looking really good mate, i hadn't thought about spraying the covers like that it may be something i might have a go at one saturday. thanks for the idea and keep up the good work! :)
  5. is yellow lights legal here for fog lights? im getting mine at the rpm store really good --lifet ime warrantyplus the hid are apex good brand and make I think the IS300 has yellow fogs doesn't it? So they can't be illegal....... yeah the 300 does have yellow fogs i still dont know if i like them or not, but the yellow fogs seemed to be common on french cars back in the early 90's (renaults peugeots) if i remember rightly?
  6. But the logical extension of your argument that more noise is better is that cars should be purpose designed to make as much noise as possible - clearly not such a good idea. The sort of roads where traffic speed is high enough to make life unpleasant for those who live nearby are not the sort of roads where people are likely to just wander out into the street anyway, so the argument that people will dance gaily out straight into the road just because the cars make a bit less noise seems to me somewhat flawed. I really can't see why people are so anti this piece of legislation - it's almost as though the mere fact that it came out of Europe is enough to turn people against it. Even if the UK left the EU tomorrow, no tyre manufacturer is going to spend millions developing new quiet tyres for Europe and then not sell them in the UK. How many posts do we see in the Wheels and Tyres forum asking 'which tyres are the quietest'? A darn site more than we see from people asking about 'which tyres are the loudest because those pedestrians just keep on walking out in front of me', that's for sure. Still, 1-2 away from home, in Berlin! :D the logic behind my argument is how can they produce a new compound for use on ALL types of roads that is then going to only give a marginally quieter surface contact noise, when all our roads are of full of unequal surface and have different grades of fabric used and build quality? a good percentage of road and tyre noise comes from poorly laid surfaces that bounce about, and vibrate causing the roads and cars to sound 2x as loud, plus then box that noise in with houses, shops, bridges etc. and it then echoes even louder, so the cause of the problem is not the tyres its the amount of traffic that are pummelling the tarmac, and how close we have built to the roads and of all the noise to stop a car making the sound of rubber on tarmac is in my mind the most hardest thing to put a limit on, how are they going to test the noise figures and at what speeds on what surfaces and on what cars? and how are they going to police it as well? cos as has been said no set of tyres will have the same frequency and DB readings on different surfaces, cos im sure with even a drop of 1 psi of air from the tyres or over inflating them will give a different noise? this is such a ridiculous legislation as there are so many factors that can change the ways tyres sound.
  7. Did you ever see a more stupid goal? its coz he had super silent rubber boots just like these new tyres are gunna be made of! and no one heard him sneaking in. see they are a bad idea!! but at least we scored again :)
  8. Chris i don't think anyone's denying the fact the road surface is designed to make tyre noise, the object of the post was how ridiculous it is that tyres will have a legal harmonic limit before sale. OH dont get me started on this again, and now germany have scored im annoyed :(
  9. lol these have to fit perfect so i can swap them with scotts :) and make sure you put your name in the group buy thread so numbers are known of how many to make
  10. cheers wozza, are they only sold with the mats i've not got round to looking as yet, thought i'd ask here first well if any body does know any one can you ask them to let me know please. thanks
  11. or when a car falls down a pot hole the size of wiltshire! lol
  12. or when a car falls down a pot hole the size of wiltshire! lol
  13. LOL what makes you say that then, im just lost for words now on what these people think they can get away with in maniplutaing our lives, population control tactics have been on the rise for the last 10+ years and more i was just unaware of it before then, they are either killing us off with unheard and unseen cars, terrost attacks, economical failure so pepole cant buy food and heating. let alone silent tyres!! we really should of listened to women when they said going into labour HURTS!!! But hey i suppose life goes on until its controlled. they just want the control they cant have!
  14. sod selling them he couldnt give them away! im surpised he's not paying people to take them off him!
  15. What would happen if you did a wheelspin tyre noise gets loud then i think the line should be drawn straight through the idea and scrapped completely its insane to have completely silent cars! fork lift truckers are told to constantly use their horns in populated warehouses because no one can hear them, so why not car drivers in populated streets? whats their next plan to turn off our head lights so people cant see us as well?? and with the deaf not being able to hear us, thats a lot of money the gov are gunna get from death taxes cos you cant even die for free these days! This is one mahoosive population control scheme by the government!
  16. ok this is just getting beyond a joke now! how can they even contemplate this as viable when our roads are full of holes and unsmoothe, laying decent roads will stop half the noise, i can imagine them pesky pigs sitting at the side of the road with a db meter aiming at everyones tyres, but then again how are they gioing to hear the tyres above our engines exhausts and radios! when i was in egypt and abroard everyone beeps their horns every 2 seconds i think we as drivers should start making as much noise as we can, while we can, IN PROTEST! beep your horn til everyone else does like in boring traffic jams, HORNS ARE THERE TO MAKE US BE HEARD the SAME AS NOISY TYRES. i am going to call this mission "lets get horny and keep our rubbers on." just need your help in kick starting it (no viagra jokes im serious on this one) Rebel against the prius generation! without noisey tyres a prius will never been heard and so many kids will die!!!
  17. hey peeps has anyone got a spare clip for the drivers carpet mat, to keep it in place, that is knocking about that they dont use/need anymore, before i buy one from the shops can you let me know. thank you dean
  18. cheers wozza for that quick decapitation of the double threaded monster :) i nearly gauged one eye out so i could only see half of it!
  19. i am going to try to get to this one as i cant make the LOC evening Xmas party as its my works xmas party at the same time :( of all the days before christmas to party, it all happens on one day!
  20. The car park behind Southampton Road, just south of the flyover where The Oracle is; in theory it is private parking. No CCTV though :( Glad they are getting it sorted for ya mate. yeah the back streets aint to friendly round that area unfortunately, was even worse when the matrix nightclub was open! your best bet is to probably leave it in the oracle as its all well lit and secure, even though its a bit pricey its won loads of safety awards, IF you can get up the ramps with your motor, i've not tried to get up the ramps in mine just in case, Does anyone know how easy it is to get in and out of the oracle with a lowered chasis? and i wouldnt even try going in the broad street mall car park the lanes are far too narrow and you drive on the right hand side its like you need a passport to get in!!
  21. Scott how would you feel about doing a swap of your is300 rings for a set of the new ones too be made plus a bit of cash to make up some of the difference in price if needed, when these new ones get made? let me know cheers mate :) ill send you a pm just in case you miss this
