  1. Good luck mate, look forward to seeing the finished result! I've had all the bits sitting in a cupboard for months and still haven't got round to doing it! How are you planning on holding the LED strips down? that i am not sure of yet, i need to have a good look in the footwells and decide were i am putting it, i was thinking velcro or something, that way i can remove it if needs be
  2. Yep, haven't been back there for a while but I'm pretty sure you can pass the wire through without actually removing anything :) ah brilliant, just hope the lights arrive soon, i hate the waiting part, i am ready now to do it
  3. To be absolutely safe it's best to use an inline fuse and a diode to prevent any potential surges going back into the car's electrics ah thanks, have some fuses left over from when i did the angel eye's. is it possible to pass the wire for the passenger footwell in behind the stereo so that the wire is hidden?
  4. ok great so i can just solder the new wires onto the wires for the ignition barrel light, would i need to fuse the system or add anything else?
  5. hey yeah i am gonna put them into the footwells, seen that they can be wired up to the ignition barrel, just havent been able to find any wiring diagrams for it
  6. i ordered 2 led strips to use as courtesy lights and i am planning on wiring them to the ignition barrel, just hoping someone could tell me what else is needed and what to wire them to on the barrel
  7. just ordered my bulbs for the dials, thanks to aztecbandit for all the help, also putting in lights in the footwells, so will take photo's as i am doing it and stick em up, gonna take a while to be delivered though
  8. The ignition ring is just a T5 bulb mate, but the A/C unit is a wee bit harder. Some have use a LED strip, but I couldn't get mine to fit right, so I butchered the LED holder and a T5 LED and wired it in that way. Its not that bright though so will be changing it shortly i just seen this write up on changing the a/c controls, http://my.is/forums/f90/how-change-climate...ds-pics-360155/ he has changed his to white
  9. has anyone changed the clock and a/c controls to blue aswell and also the ignition ring? what bulbs are needed to do these, planning on changing my headunit so figured while i am at it i will change the colour of the lights there.
  10. Thanks, gonna try anthracite on it tomorrow and also black aswell, see how they all look
  11. did a bit of photoshopping, not the best quality photo, what does everyone think of the gun metal grey wheels? silver on the back, gun metal grey on the front
  12. Aztecbandit1 has, use search to find his thread on it :winky: thanks, had a look there, his look brilliant, if only i was that talented with a spray gun or can of paint, I wonder would the gun metal look well on the black car, maybe i can do a bit of photo shopping later and see
  13. thanks Gord, really like the dark alloys with the polished lip but dont want to buy a new set, just found a company based in dublin that refurb and paint so will getting onto them to see what they say, has anyone painted their own alloys?
  14. I had to order a new alloy as one was in bits, couldnt be fixed, thankfully no damage to the car though, it was the previous owner so at the moment i have one odd horrible looking alloy, the other three could use a refurb, is it possible to get them painted while they are being refurbed? this is what i have? and i would like this
  15. ah no i have no plans to buy it, just think it is funny that people try selling these things, just seen it when i was browsing ebay to find something nice for my car It's about time ebay banned these blokes from selling this rubbish I can tell you from tests carried out that they do not work so why does ebay allow them to carry on selling them. Ignore the good feedback it is all in the mind about there car is running better etc. Norman One of the guys i worked with used to work in ebay, just asked him how they get away with selling this crap and its because Ebay aren't experts so they cant say if it works or not, bull if you ask me
  16. ah no i have no plans to buy it, just think it is funny that people try selling these things, just seen it when i was browsing ebay to find something nice for my car
  17. yeah thats what i was thinking, on the page for it he gives out about the people just selling resistors, have sent an email to get pictures of whats inside the box and also the dyno results so will see if he writes back or not
  18. another person on ebay promising huge bhp gains and also mpg gains, what do you's think he has in the little black box that could be so wonderful!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1-PERFORMAN...A1%7C240%3A1318
  19. you shouldnt have to take it the a styling shop, it is pretty easy to remove the lights now, there are 2 bolts on top to be removed plus the clip and then if you pull back the wheel arch lining, there are 2 more to remove, takes about 20 mins for each light,
  20. i have done 2 sets of them now, pretty easy to do after the first go, when you are removing the lights dont forget there is a clip underneath each light, can just be popped out with a screwdriver, once you remove the grill and look underneath the lights from there you will see it
  21. they actually arent too hard to fit, you just have to make sure when you are sticking them back together that they are sealed properly, dont want them fogging up with water, they are really bright, i have them wired in as my side lights and they are much brighter than the actual sidelights, and they are perfectly legal, would just say get a headlight alignment after you fit them as you will have knocked off the alignment of the dips and headlights Motsey: there are a lot of guides on here and also video's on youtube that show how it is done, its not that hard, just have to be careful http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=IE&hl=...p;v=P-q0SVALfus http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...ove+head+lights
  22. they seem good, and they are at a really good price
  23. hey thanks for all the compliments, abbot thats exactly the look i was going for, calling them devil eye's, just gotta take the fogs and the rear lights out now to paint, gonna make it real stealthy looking, dan black is definitely the fastest colour, :D asi i got them off ebay the item number is: 250361087377 yeah it definitely needs a good wash, its even dirtier now,
  24. some pics of my car with my angel eye's fitted, it needs a wash badly
  25. i am just sticking some photos of my car on the comp now so will be sticking them in my angel eyes thread in about 15 mins
