  1. i just have the standard set up, is the fog to brake conversion hard?
  2. which are a LOT better if u ask me..... but i have a set of the originals somewhere - moved house and everythings everywhere - was gonna sell them to ormi but took me that long to find everything that he managed to get some from another member which was cool... I would be worried that if they were flashing all the time would have a lot of ****** of people, are you still planning on selling them? mate, they only pulse when u brake - which is at 20 pulses per second for 2 seconds....hardly a disco!lol! never had any bad complaints etc etc - in fact, quite the opposite.....have had a few people follow me to petrol stations etc and comment how clever/funky/useful they are. help following drivers react better when braking. plus they look the nuts, lol!! stav has them fitted to his also.... do you have the ones from superlumination? http://superlumination.com/3157_3156.htm the ones half way down the page? is it dual or single circuit ones that are need and which bulbs?

  7. has anyone tried using a twin screw type supercharger? http://www.whipplesuperchargers.com/product.asp?ProdID=1162 thats one make, they are the most efficient type of supercharger so just wondering why no one uses them?
  8. hey what ones would be needed from autolumination for the high brake light and which bulbs? thanks guys

  10. mine are red, were painted when i got the car, just need to get some logo's for them and give them a good clean
  11. hey, here is a good review on the jvc 810, your ipod will work with this unit but you would need to by an extra cable (ks-u20) think they are around 35 pound, will let you control your ipod from the radio screen and can also have bluetooth with the ks-bta200, i think its around 90 pound http://www.crutchfield.com/S-YBlT1O3eoGR/p...-KW-AVX810.html thats a great link mate, thanks very much. seems as if it will definitely support the 1st gen ipod touch so thats wicked!!! look slike it might eb this that i go for then, although the pioneer unit (p4000) is the best looking IMHO. i guess i could add bluetooth at a later date and maybe a tv tuner so the missus can watch tv on the go (heaven forbid she misses an episode of coronation street!!!! :shutit: ) mate, go into a store to check this as JVC say its not supported.. hey if you email this guy, his name is Graham Irving, he works for JVC technical UK, he will let you know if your ipod will work on this model, I know he said my 2nd gen ipod touch would work on it so earlier models should work grahami@jvc.co.uk

  14. it was just in for a service, needed new tyres and just get it checked over before it went through the nct
  15. hey i just got the JVC KW-AVX820, it has everything you are looking for, its about £550 pounds though but I think it is well worth it, I am very very happy with mine :D
  16. my car doesnt seem to sit lower on any side so do you think it is ok and the lad in the garage is just a bit of a :tsktsk: thanks for the quick reply
  17. thanks a million again, will take some pics later of it in the car, and of how the fascia is coming along, it needed a lot of cutting and sanding to make it fit nice and snug :)
  18. i never thought about it earlier, was showing him the radio and told him about not getting power to the permanent live and first thing he asked was did i check the fuses, yeah it was Radio No. 1, felt like kicking myself, spent 3 hours last night checking all the wiring but all good now :D thanks for all the help Steve, will be priming the fascia adaptor tonight :)
  19. have it all sorted finally, me and one of the lads in work were out pulling out fuses upon fuses and found a blown one, replaced it and the permanent live is working, radio is on all the time now, so need to just swap over the wires later :D
  20. That's very odd. Yes, the red and yellow wire into the clock is a permanent live. ah brilliant, I will try splicing in the yellow cable from the back of the new headunit to this cable when i get home and hopefully that will be it all sorted
  21. hey yeah i'm not getting any constant live at all even from the cable the amp bypass is plugged into, it seems to be working just like a switched live, checked the grey wire aswell and this is switched live aswell, i was thinking this morning, does the clock have a constant live because it holds the time so could i splice my constant live in there?
  22. ok i stuck my new headunit in on friday, is all working good except the memory, have had it out for the last 2 hours checking the wires and i am not getting power to constant live for some reason? could i have pulled something lose when i was disconnecting the amp?
  23. hey i have checked every possible wire i could and I am not getting any power to the constant live at all, even tried plugging the amp back in and still nothing,
  24. at the moment have the red wire connected to the grey wire, which is switched live and have the yellow wire connected to the blue and yellow(constant live), turns on no problem, works away and all but doesnt hold the memory so now checking to see if the blue and yellow is getting power, in the amp by pass cable there is a yellow cable that has memory on it and even when i connect the yellow cable from the stereo to this it still doesnt hold the memory
  25. I had it wired up but when i was trying to figure out this current problem took it apart, in my amp bypass lead there was no were for the red wire to go, at the moment my wiring is a complete mess
