I have diagonised the cause of my engine management light to be; P0161 O2Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank #2 Sensor #2) However, the engine management light does not stay on constantly. When it started last weekend, it was on all day and then when I went to meet Steve it turned off and stayed off for the rest of the night and following day. The light then come on Tuesday and has been on constanlty until today. Is the usual behaviour when an O2 sensor starts to fail or could the error code be a false reading?

So have you finally had a code come up now ? After your engine check light was coming on but with no codes ? So if it was P0156 for you, Bank 2 Sensor 2 on an IS300, then that's in the exhaust just before the cat. The picture on page 2 here shows it on a LHD drive car, on the passenger side, but I presume it'd be under the driver's side on RHD. Assuming it's the only code and no work has been done in that area recently, you too probably need a new sensor. I got my ODB reader today and I have this code: P0161 O2Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank #2 Sensor #2) I think the sensor it after the cat I think from this link. It did only show up one error code, which was a relief as I was starting to get a bit worried. I am looking for prices for the sensor now, I hope it does not cost too much as I think I will get a Lexus part and I can get sorted when the car is service next weekend.

I was expecting to pay customs charges on this item and I suspect I will probably get a bill through the post in a few days. However, I would of expected to pay the charges before the item was released for delivery to the courier. Oh well, I will have to wait and see, I have not recieved anything from customs for other items I have I have purchased from the US for my car. I wonder if it is because I have everything delivered to business address rather than my home address.

Hi all, I recieved my Hotchkis arb's today :D I bought these from eBay US - Hotchkis arb's The arbs cost $350.00 - I made offer and got $26 off. Shipping and insurance cost $145.90 Total $495.90 = £319.87 (exchange rate through Paypal £ = $1.55) I have not had any issues with customs. I am having these fitted on Saturday 13th June at ToyotaGT. I have also purchased a full set of Lexus drop links for the install, so any money I had saved has been spent on them. I hope these live up to my expectations.

Hi all, My car now has the management light on. It come on whilst I was driving, it is still driving fine, no power loss, no overheating, idles ok. I have carried out some checks, but the light is still on. I do not have a OBD II reader, so I do not know what else to do. Any suggestions on what I can try? I need to get this resolved ASAP, as we have sold my girlfriends car this morning and we need a car. Thanks.

I think i may have found the answer. The IS300 in Europe uses the same plugs as the IS200, so the IK20 will be ok in my car. Details of suitable Denso plugs in Europe are on their website Denso website The confusion arose, as the IS300 in the US uses the IK16, US plugs

Hi all, I have some Denso Irdium Power spark plugs IK20, but I have a feeling they may not be suitable for an IS300, I think I need the IK16. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

These are in transit, they are in Los Angeles somewhere. I suspect it will be at least a couple of weeks before I recieve them, especially as these will have to go through customs.

I think there is a 4 - 6 week lead time on these, hopefully I will have them by mid July and then need to arrange WIM to install them.

Thanks for all yours responses. I have ordered some Hotchkis arb's from the US. I read some good things about these and the price come in less than the C-Ones. I will update you with my thoughts on the arb's once I have them fitted.
