  1. excellent. thanx for the reply mate. ill give it a go tomorrow, cheers
  2. hello, can anyone tell me how to remove the drivers side interior door pillar cover ? i,ve searched the site but no luck ? when it rains there is a leak by the front corner of the sunroof, right by my head, very annoying. i don,t think the drainage is blocked but read on here that a tube in the pillar can come apart, so would like to take the trim off to see, but there is of course an air bag there, so any advice would be fantastic. thanks in advance for any help.
  3. just had same thing. turned out to be a seized front caliper.
  4. http://cgi.ebay.co.u...em=400182676665 this is the one i bought.
  5. i just bought this flip out one from ebay. great quality aswell.
  6. no dosen,t have sat nav. i prefer to have the dash tray, comes in handy for storage. i don,t know if it was exclusive to the LE tho. maybe try a scrappy if lexus don,t sell them ?
  7. i have a 2004 LE and it has one of these fitted as standard.
  8. sounds like a good idea. just cost me £146 for a new caliper to be fitted !
  9. I'm in the middle of having my front caliper changed which was seized and was causing my car to shudder, could be worth checking your wheels to see if they turn freely. may be a start ?
  10. yeh thanx. won't have the car back until Monday tho. glad it wasn't anything serious
  11. he did try to unjam it but said it was stuck solid, worse one he'd seen. so new one it'll have to be.
  12. turns out that wasn't the cause but the front caliper jammed. so need a new one. not as cheap as i first thought. £150 in total
  13. well a mechanic friend of mine has had a look and it seems that a bracket holding the abs sensor has snapped and was hanging off. he's going to have a proper look when he gets it up on the ramps. so hopefully an easy cheap fix !
  14. i,m in south wales, a bit far away from telford. which is a shame
  15. thanx for the reply. garage it is then lol
  16. could make sense because my car is not used every day. especially with this cold weather
  17. ok. and if it is how to do i unstick it ? is it easy to do ?
  18. i know what you mean. i had a slow puncture and went to ats to get it fixed. left my wheel there and went back 2hrs later and they said couldn,t find a puncture so they changed the valve. asked them how much and they said nothing, free of charge. was quite impressed with that .
  19. didnt think of that ! i,ll check them first thing in the morning !
  20. yeh i think i,ll try a tyre place first like you suggest. don,t think i,ve run over any potholes and definately havn,t hit anything. before it happened i did notice a very slight steering wheel wobble about an hour before, as if the balancing was out, so hopefully that will be the cause. thanks for the reply .
  21. it seemed as if I went over 50 mph something could come off ? luckily I was in roadworks when it happened. I'll have a look see if a weight has come off but how can I tell if a weight was there in the first place ? as you can tell I'm no mechanic lol
  22. on my way home from work I was doing 50mph in the motorway when my car started to shudder. I thought I had a puncture but when I pulled off the motorway all the tyres were fine. at slow speeds everything feels ok. it seems to be coming from the drivers side rear wheel. anyone have any ideas as to what it may be ? can't get anyone to look at it until the weekend so it'll be off the road till then. thanx for any help !
