    I've just followed the good advice and got a new key cut from a blank and changed the internals over but I didn't see anything that looked obviously like a battery, just a black lump with buttons. I've also noticed that the boot button doesn't work which leads me to ask just how long can one expect the key battery to last? Easy to change and how frequently?

    This happened to the Seat Toledo that preceded my IS. The ecu somehow lost its memory of both the keys and wouldn't start. If you're in South London/Surrey I can recommend 007 Locksmiths on 07837 919 005 who turned up and re-entered them for £85, fortunately I had my key pin codes. He also mentioned that if you lost your keys he could reprogramme the ecu for about £400.

    Just bought an 04 SE with the cream interior and the front seatbelts are well grubby, can anyone recommend a good product/technique for cleaning them please?
