    Many years ago I had a Vauxhall Carlton with the same problem and it came down to the earth wire being loose and the resultant short draining the battery. Worth a look if you've been playing with the electrics and undone it at any time.

    Paint your calipers, they probably look pretty crap by now.

    Try 'Chips Away', they're coming to repair two deep scratches in my bumper that were there when I bought it, minimum charge £130 down South. Look up their website.

    I've got the Alpine 101 which looks identical but only has amber lighting (matches the car's), I added the Alpine drawer underneath to hold the ipod but it only takes a nano. The sound is excellent though the stock speakers.

    I've just bought some angel eyes too, to save me dredging through old posts can anyone please remind me of the cooking instructions to seperate the headlamps, thanks.

    Take note of his comment about new iPods though, I installed a new Alpine unit that wouldn't recognise my iPod classic and so had to buy a new Nano just for the car.

    Looks great, where did you get those tail lights? Saw some like it one Ebay but they've disappeared from the UK site and are double the price on the US site. I dithered but now I've seen yours I want them!

    I'm thinking about putting a new exhaust on my car. The Scorpion system is the cheapest and looks good with the rolled lip and the Cobra sounds better but I'm not sure about the rather thin looking lip to the tailpipe. The HKS Silent hi-power looks wonderful in our SWedish friend's photos and the Legamax looks pretty good on the Prolex site but they are both quite expensive. I would welcome some views and opinions especially if you have experience of any of these systems. Strangely enough I haven't seen a single car round here with anything but the stock system. Thanks in advance guys (and gals of course).

    There's a key shop at Commonside East in Mitcham that will cut the key blades for you, I did this a few weeks ago. Also charged me a tenner.

    I got some very nice ones on Ebay that had 'IS200' embroidered in them and fitted perfectly. So good in fact that I got a second set for my wife's Swift. They do custom embroidery so you could just have 'Lexus' on them if you want.

    Am I missing something here? My wife has told me that the car could benefit from a shiny new tailpipe trim like the one on her Suzuki Swift. I've looked on Ebay and all the trims listed for our car state suitable for pipes up to 55mm and yet mine measures at 85mm. Were they smaller on the earlier models or are these shysters trying to scam us? Guess you already know Lexus don't make them anymore, at least according to Lexus Croydon they don't.

    Yep, just added the Alpine 104 to mine, Alpine also do a very neat drawer that mounts below the head and holds an iPod Nano completely out of view. CD autochanger? Old hat! It sounds superb through the stock speakers too. The installer recommended this model because the lights are amber and match the dash.

    And the timing belt don't forget, mine just cost me £617 at an independent garage and didn't turn up anything extra fortunately

    Love the Sports Grille but don't want to put a Sports badge on an SE, is the badge removeable does anyone know?
