  1. I'm confused by this coming from the Tories which has got me a little worried, but I don't get how this could possibly help............first the eastern europeans, now northerners into London, sounds like paradise doesn't it? :crybaby:

my question is this.. is it a geographical problem.. or a geographicaly based attitude that stops growth and change..

from what i know of my relitives.. they all whinge and whine but dont change or adapt...

now i come from the same blood but have a different attitude... i say get rid of the cheap beer in the working mens clubs (how can they be called that when they drink from 11am till 11pm every day.. wheres the work) make it more expensive and they will work more..

  2. so the think tank said to make 3 million more homes so people can move down...

who is going to make 3 million more job for those people...

personaly i dont think i could take a deluge of people desperate for jobs... that would make life very hard for those who already live down here... and basicaly it would fook up the south...

think what would happen to the benifits offices... would have to have supercentres made up... lol

BTW... i was born in liverpool in 1981.. moved down south in 1983.... and have never missed it. have to say my life would have been a lot worse off if i had stayed as there would have been little opertunity in the area that we lived (rainhill, mersyside) all the relitives who ever came down did nothing but whinge about prices of food/beer and how everyone drives like maniacs.. imagine that but times 3 million... suicide rates would go through the roof

  3. best thing i could advise if your spending a few thousand is to invest in a £50 portable OBDII reader... easy to use and will stop you getting conned.. it will work with all GS300's post 2000.

and will probably help you knock a few quid off... but the main thing is it will tell you exactly what is wrong with the car..

i have the mac tools ET50.. but there are plenty out there for the £35 mark also.. eBay is your friend here..

it will come up with any fault codes availiable to read.. so the dealer cannot lie.. also it will earn its money back the first time you use it!

  4. paint wise.. i would say normal body shop paint through a HVLP gun.. but the main thing would be the prep.. and what the primer is.. as that is what will need to bond to the plastic..

but for how long it would last for.. i dont know.. it always has a tendancy to crack or lift on the corners due to excessive heat eventualy..

I agree with the carbon cover not being all that special.. needs some details would be nice to get a cover for the stock one that would put carbon on the red painted areas ans have a body coloured "V" area

  5. well the plus's and minus are all there.. the idea of a tyre that would take longer to drop in pressure appeals to me... the pub talk also appeals.. the cost... appeals.. the practicals.. couldnt care.. would like to try it out on my ZX12R.. that would be interesting as you can seriously get that tyre warm....

also just a thought... to control speed... could someone not come up with a gas that would explode at 71mph.... then fit it to BMW's so that when they charge down the motorway they explode and dissable the car and driver from moving... that would be sweet...

also... im sure the ex mclaren F1 head mechanic guy could tell you the "exact" reason why ferrari used nitrogen...

  6. do the japs know something we dont?

which will suffer most when the oil runs lower than it is now.. petrol or diesel?

not too sure which one is more oil rich when it comes to production?

or is it easier to convert petrol based technology to future fuels? not sure really but there must be a reason.. the 2.5td engine in my D40 navara was awsome.. good mpg.. loads of power all moving over 2 tonnes of steel.. and for what it was it were pretty quiet..

still unsure as to what hybrids hold for the future.. as its not just the cars that need to change.. its the recovery industry.. the AA/RAC... garages.. everything to accept a new type of vehicle.. i have heard rumors that the prius Battery pack has killed quite a few mechanics so far...

Also what is interesting is the END OF LIFE VEHICLES... i know for one that we could not handle the disposal of said vehicles.. and how much would the kit be to acutaly make safe said vehicles... still lots needed to change i think

  7. personaly i say blind the driver behind with the brake light... i do.. and its a damn sight safer and more reliable than retrofitting.. along with massive cost savings etc...

as soon as you adapt the stock braking setup you are invalidating the warenty not only on that part but more likely on the whole braking system..

and all these aftermarket ideas are nice, but what are the safety measures to stop them coming into action when they are not required.. i.e. the winch starting working after a shor at 80mph in fast lane...

  8. i have to say i love the ISF.. its really nice... but to me it just doesnt differentiate itself enough from other IS's... not to say thats a bad thing... just for an extra £20k i would expect more than 2 extra exhaust tips.. a new wing and bonnet bulge..

for me the E46 M3 always stood out head and shoulders above a E46 330ci, you immidiately notice its muscular presence... not so so much with the IS-F...

i would consider it on the second hand market though..when its dropped to the £25k mark.. but by then i will more likely be poking around for a GS460 as i dont think i could go back to a smaller car.

but if it was my £50k... there would be no choice.. the GTR... that will hold its money for a good while.. and BHP per quid.. its friggin awsome..

    just my opinions tho

  9. i think its just something we have to come to expect these days.

When i had my IS200 supercharged it was a regular occurance until i got my private plate. Although the plod still did like to pull me to ask why i was going 30mph but sounded like i was going 60mph... when you show them the charger they get interested and end up chatting.

Its just a job in the end, and a statistics game.. eventualy they will stop someone that will lead to an arrest etc... so if you dont nothing wrong then dont worry..

  10. i by now way condone the acutal idea of obtaining illigal software for personal use... as its immoral and very bad...

but if someone did know hypertheticaly.. could they please let me know..

    thank you

    Very honourable......but then,

thanks very much guys... will be trying it out tonight..

Now this is where you let yourself down.

damn it ... if only it wasnt for those pesky kids..... crap where are those scooby doo people to blame????

feck it.... seeing as its all hyperthetical.. and no actual admission of guilt has taken place... i think i may be safe from toyotas hyperthetical legal team... phew

  11. They've made that up, the Oxford is the English language thats just goggledegook.

very likely they made that up, but if i remeber rightly it appears in the dissabilty and discrimination act.. or something like that as well as KCC school policy.. refering that a statemented child cannot be refused a place at a school... as they would not let him go to a school in ashford called the north... but KCC made them!
