Steve Lexus Reading are saying a 3 week lead time for a replacement, after the insurance agrees to replace it?????

Not good, I hate the new alloys and the full leather dosn't appeal either. Also as the price is nearly £4K more now I might not get a new one Steve

Yes, all four doors opened AND shut again, the steering and brakes still worked too! I jumped out of the car and ran over and pulled the lorry driver out of his overturned lorry! (not to hit him though !) Insurance are supplying a rental car (Jag X-Class) and lexus Assistance were just unbelivably good. Car recovered in 20 minutes, taxi to oxford and loan car waiting, plus rental of a loan from Lexus for three days, they also picked up the tab for the recovery.... Simply awsome.... Anyone from Lexus GB want to do a feature just ask, I'll write the Lexus Hymm ! Steve

Feeling very lucky right now, last night on the way home a 40ft 44 ton artic rolled over and squashed my IS200 SE flat ! I was in it at the time, stationary and walked out without a scratch! Trying to upload pictures to the gallery, however It wont let me log in..... Steve

Mine's booked next week for the 20K service Lexus Reading have quoted £268 inc VAT and usual service parts if you go GOLD on your membership, you'll save more than your membership fee on your first service alone ! Steve

Hi All I had my 02 SE fitted with a Nokia car kit through Lexus Reading (I actually paid the guy direct) Mike (@ Lexus Reading) uses the same guy for all of the car kits to the cars they sell AND my stereo mutes when a call comes in or I make an out going call ! I was advised not to have the output through the stereo speakers though as the volume is controlled by the phone. Cost was £199 inc fitting and VAT Oh and he did an outstanding job too! On my July 02 200 SE i've just had all 5 wheels changed for refurbished ones, Lexus Reading gave me the choise of new or refurb and showed me both. The refurbed ones at Reading are NOT painted all over , BUT are laquered all over so you can still see the ground metal edge we like so much. So far as the laquer on the refurbed set it is much thicker and they seem easier to clean too... BTW no arguements , Mark just offered 5 new or refurbed ones as mine had allready started to pit. And believe me I've been known to go out in the evening with a bucket and sponge and just wash off the brake dust ! Rgds steve PS please tell me I'm not the only one who's done this ?????

I agree Not satisfied with the durability, my IS200 SE in silver now has a very spotty bonnet due to what appears to be VEREY soft paint, not just the laquer coming off either but down to the black base coat ! My old Vauxhall was better and so was the renault before that, the best was my Volvo V40 !even in white ! Rgds Steve

Glad your ok javaboss, FYI my new IS200 SE was only £19.7K last july. Shop around if you do decide to buy new as I managed to get a big chunk off list price. Steve :D

Drove past Lexus in Canterbury yesterday, guess what the first car on the forecourt was? Bright red BMW 3 series !, One can only assume they took it in part exchange and got stuck with it! They could at least have hidden it round the back !! Steve
