  1. How hard is this to do? iv removed headlights before and its been a right pig
  2. Iv noticed since havin the is200 the passenger headlight is always full of condensation, any tips on how to get rid of this? anyone else got it? its driving me insane :shutit:
  3. second link in first post as hes quoted the price :winky:
  4. any pictures of condition?
  5. Yes mine is a manual and i would have to agree with all you have said, im not a fast driver (even though i have 6 points) my mates raised a few eye brows when i said i was getting one throwing the whole, there bad on juice compared to performance, and yes they were right but i put on average £30 a week in and today that got me 150miles. I dont begrudge puttin this in every week whether it be alittle more or alittle bit less as as youve mentioned the ride is so refined, and it has all the luxurys i want when driving round on the UK roads.
  6. Unfortunetly all the steps you have explained you have done on the car do not reall fit into detailing what so ever. Yes it sounds like you have done all the steps you can possibly do before passing it onto a professional, and thats exactly what you need to do The only way you will remove swirl marks properly is to use a paint depth reader over the whole car to see what panels have what thickness of paint paint and more importantly laquar to work with, then you need to use either Rotary Polisher or DA and some more up market products aka cutting compounds to work into the laquar. If you have never used a DA or a rotary polisher before i would get an old panel and practise on one first but personally id rather pay a Pro Detailer to come round and do a full paint correction, hope this helps
  7. the gear changes were a big thing when i got it but i have soon leanrt to understand it. and tbh the lexus isnt much worse on fuel then my e36 318is couple, granted i kicked its arse about alot more but with the lexus i just dont feel the need to and the milege i do, i dont car about the mpg
  8. do people not look at mpg any more befor buying a car :shutit: seems to be loads of topics like this, is200 are renouned for using alot of juice compared to performance, its a wel known fact, i get 40-50 miles per £10, but its a comfortable, enjoyable 40-50miles B)
  9. Thats the pic he sent me of the 50mm fitted bruce
  10. lad posted up about these the other day and said they were a very good ride and made the stance superb, is there any chance of rubbing with a car load on the standard 5 spokes or do they tuck under the arches?
  11. cheers for the rapid response, all sorted now, thank you
  12. Basically come online to see the sites all changed. altho when i go to click on my messages it says i need to log in but im not permitted to use this function, then when i click on my user name it goes to a completely different user??? whats all this about
  13. really not a fan of the exhuast, im not a fan of any aftermarket exhuast tbh, i feel the standard backbox produces a lovely sound, looking at a standard is200 i just think they sound silly with a loud exhaust on as kam mentioned there a cruiser, an aftermarket exhaust just makes it dound like its gettin nowhere loudly
  14. he quoted me £90ish but thats with the idea he opens a workshop around here otherwise i dont know anywhere else that does it. i was going to fit the suspension myself but since looking at the tutorial i think im best leaving it to sumone else, just another £150 i didnt want to be forking out
  15. is it vital to measure these extra angles? Just wondering why every other car iv had seems to fine after having 4 wheel allignment :eerrrmm:
  16. Exactly what the title says, iv never heard of geometric set up until i got the lexus and started reading up, every other car iv lowered iv simply done it myself, then been and have the tracking/4wheel alignment done and had the camber checked anyone care to explain the difference?
  17. any side on shots, front bumper lower or level with the side sills still?
  18. tbh phil i had it lying around but i think u can get it from tesco asda etc. todays tidying up started at 9am as i was up at 8am i had autoglass here filling in a chip, once he was done, i set about cleaning up the engine bay with plastic gell, chuffed with the outcome. Also cant stand the state of the exhausts tip and backbox as it all pitted even after cleaning, so i went about puttin a rough surface to the tip and painting it with high temp black gloss, looks ten times better IMPO although i havent got a picture yet
  19. i will ned to decide on the wheel colour, i would go for springs but im abit of a low kinda guy so i dont know if springs will lower it enough on 17s as id like the arches to sit snug around the wheels
  20. It is all the fitting and labour costs that ruin modding tbh so if you like you and a mechanic your onto a winner. At the moment, lowered, stil undecided on coilovers or springs =, then i will just be getting the standard 17s acid dipped, and powdercoated in either standard silver or contemplating anthracite, everything else with be maintaining, and keeping it as mint as possible. Also hoping to have it detailed in the summer to get the paint near perfect.
  21. i very much doubt i have the money to go to the extent you have gone to, im just aiming, for a nice oem, is200 with my own personal touch and few things that i think with improve the car itself over standard
  22. 6000k is the best HID kit to go for buddy, rest of the mods sound ace
