  3. Guess the price has gone up over the last 4 years lol. Getting mine replaced next week on insurance due stone chip. Autoglass reckoned £550 for the windscreen. £589 they quoted me, independant companys localy i found cheapest was £290 fitted, although i paid £68 through my insurance although my insurance freeze you r no claims
  4. hmmm i fail to see anywhere where u could put a silicon sachet tbh?
  5. Wel since i bought the car three weeks ago, i seem to hear this noise coming from the dirvers wheel, and it only happens when i turn left, and the noise is alot the louder the faster i go around corners, it is booked it to be checked as the garage had it up in the air today and they said there is no play in the calipers of bearings or anything so its abit of mistery, it sounds like something is catching at the same point of every revolution of the wheel. I had the wheels off last weekend painting the calipers and theres no noise when turning the wheel in mid air, it seems to be louder the more weight is over the wheel/caliper/brake. Anyone had the same thing?
  6. where would you put one though, and wouldnt it come back as soon as you removed the sachet
  7. all Megs range, all Autoglym range, also use, sonus clay bars, poorboys black hole, and dodo juice range
  8. i will fit them myself then my mate works at a tire fitting place so they set them up for me at a very cheap price. I dont really know what drop i want and want i love about coilovers is you can adjust the front camber. How do you go about adjusting rear camber on is200s??? i really wouldnt just take it to a tyre fitters to have a set up done tbh, is200s are enouned for bad geo set up as standard and need looking at in alot more angles then just 4 wheels alighnment
  9. and sound awesome, i love how the standard ehaust note sounds
  10. D2s are apparently very good, and seem wel priced at just over £500, you fitting them yourself or getting a garage to do them? i take it youv read about geometric set up being a must at around 500miles after lowering? Personaly if ur only lowering up to 40mm id go for springs as the standard shocks are perfectly capable of coping with this kind of drop.
  11. You have way to much money Mr Ormi and i need to find a missus as understanding as yours
  12. The sayin if it aint broke dont fix it come to mind mate, as long as ya happy with how the sound system meets your needs i wouldnt go messing. Personally id leave it as it is, BUT thats just my to penneth
  13. when i had all my plastic trims painted in an anthracite colour on a previous car i had to match them to the wheels so i just went to a bodyshop and asked to pick a colour from then swatch books i went with a crysler colour
  14. Any is200 users using v-power? i tend to fil the tank to the brim and every sat fill it back up to the brim whether it be £20 or £50, if its worth me using v-power to gain double points from shell and get better Mpg and peformance i will
  15. if i remember correctly the speakers in the is200 are to a very high spec, i love the crisp sound the is200 system produces i certainly wouldnt be swopping the speakers for 6*9's
  16. Question - My exhaust is a chrome tipped Original Lexus backbox, although it's murder to keep clean and it's starting to get a litte worn, looking at new backboxes ive seen a few but there abit exspensive at around £200 is there any cheaper alternatives, theres loads of Universal backboxes but are they worth it ? Answer - Personally i painted the backbox with high temp black gloss, personally i love how it looks now B) Question - i have a Red IS200 (Scarletti Red according to the book) i've notuiced that the laquer from my door handles is starting to peel, before it gets even worse is there anyway to fix this without the need of a respray ? Answer - When my dad bought his Scarletti red is200 his handles were doin the same, he has his reprayed by the dealer before buying it but i see how harm in whipping them off running them down gentle to get rid of the laquar peel lines then just relaquaring them as only the laquar that will be effected up to now, failing that its resprayed but shouldnt be much to get done. Question - bought a set of Caliper Stickers (the lexus ones) fromhere or ebay not sure which, whats the ebst way to stick them on, ive repainted my calipers and the back ones stay on fine although the two on the front seemingly fall off, do you need a hairdryer to heat these on ? Answer - These should just stick on by themselves, have you made sure the caliper was clear of dirt grease and dry before applying? Hope this helps
  17. what do you want to know about coilovers?
