  1. I have marks on mine ( exactly the same spec by the way ) but they seem to clean off quite nicely. I use a little Mr muscle glass cleaner on a bit of tissue and it hasn't stained. Hope the dealer can sort it out for you.
  2. I know this is an old post and it's probably fixed by now, but do you know that there are two fuses under the passenger seat? One is a 12v supply fuse and the other is an audio fuse. The audio fuse is the one in the small black plastic box and the supply one is the one in a covered in line fuse holder. My power fuse had blown, but I still do not have power to the DVD player. Sorry for high jacking this thread, but if anybody has any ideas please ? The ACC power is still missing to the dvd player and monitor supply boxes.
  3. Indeed a nice touch. Except if you haven't got a user manual. It only goes out when the card has been locked after doors are shut. That drive me mad this afternoon and not easy to test unless you lock yourself in of course
  4. That sounds like agreat deal to me. I was just after your thoughts and confirmation that is is such a great deal (being the eternal sceptic I am). NB - My RX has had a full Lexus svc history ( but missed the 50k svc ) and am now at 61k mls. Should I bite his hand off ? Thanks for the replies guys. I am going to take this offer up. Sounds ok to me, especially at 0% APR!
  5. Lets see if I can awaken this thread ? I have a '04 RX300 SEL ICE that I bought in January at about 59000k mls, knowing that it would need the main 60k svc soon. I have just rung Sidcup Lexus and have had the following quoted : Main 60K svc cost - around £650 Int 70K svc cost - around £320-£350 Main 80k svc cost - around £425 So, I enquired about a svc plan and was quoted a price of : 60/70/80k svc plan - £1051.38 70/80/90k svc plan - £1051.38 Now, given that the 60/70/80k has two main svcs, I think that it is a very good deal, especially as he said that I could get free MOT's and 10% of parts for the whole period............and I could pay interest free over 20mths by instalments. This equates to about a £500 saving......WOW ! That sounds like agreat deal to me. I was just after your thoughts and confirmation that is is such a great deal (being the eternal sceptic I am). NB - My RX has had a full Lexus svc history ( but missed the 50k svc ) and am now at 61k mls. Should I bite his hand off ?
  6. Hello, not sure if you are still interested, but I have one which I bought from Halfords. There is not many rear bike carriers for the RX300 which fit to the car without a towbar, but this one does. I have only used mine once, so it may be up for sale if you are interested. Hi there I wont hijack this thread, as I feel Damian will want your bike carrier, but could you give me the model name/numer of the carrier so I can see if I can lay my hands on one as well please ? I presume that it will be discontinued by Halfords, but if so, I can try Ebay for another. Cheers Paul
  7. Finally managed to sort the wierd fault out. Details here....... http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=13790&st=0&gopid=717011entry717011
  8. Mmmmm. I have the same issue on my RX300 SEL 2004 and after I read this info decided to give it a try. I could not get anything to work using the 'slide' switch. I tried many times moving back first then letting it go through the complete open/close/open motion, but the one touch would not work still. I had to use the rocker switch that controls the 'tilt'. Keeping the switch pressed, it tilted up, tilted down, slid fully open, slid fully shut. I think this is where it stopped and hey presto - one touch now working fully. Strange 'fault' though, like to know why it happens or is it a 'feature' ?
  9. Wont stay in high beyond about 15mph - very irratating if you want to drive up a track at a reasonable pace.. Yet more naneygate software... Ah, that would explain things. Thanks Steve, as you say very annoying.
  10. Just wondering ? Not having an owners manual, I was just wondering if my sunroof is functioning normally ? The slide switch does operate the sunroof backwards and forwards, however, if kept pressed when closing, it justs closes and then tilts/lifts up. Is it supposed to and if so, when do you know when it is in the normally closed position ( as the time gap between slide closure and tilt opening is quite small ) ? Should it not just slide close and stay closed ? The wierd thing is that the tilt button does exactly the same thing - i.e. tilts up, then down and then is still pressed, starts the slide operation. Bot buttons seem to have exactly the same function. If that's normal, then those Jap designers are strange chaps.
  11. Not quite what I have got but mine seems to want to go into high, but does not stay there. This could simply be a lack of understanding of how it works ( as I do not have an owners manual ), but does not seem right. The low setting seems to work fine and stays put. Any advice please gents and ladies ?
  12. That's great. Thanks for the info Normski. That helps. Long shot................You are not the 'Dance Energy' Normski are you ?
  13. Hi Normski Thanks for the info. Does that mean if I leave it pressed in the car will always lower itself when I want to get out and obviously pump itself up again after I drive off ? I am not the tallest geezer in the world, so maybe a good idea to leave it perm. 'on' ? :P There is another button with three letters on it (ASF ?????? or similar) down there as well. Can I ask what that does as well ? I love my new (to me) car
  14. Hi Bladgb As you seem to have had a little play with these things, would you happen to know how to remove the DVD player under the drivers seat ? I think it may need an internal clean after 6 years of use. I have only had a quick look so may need to get upside down on my back. Rgds Paul
  15. Hi I have on '04 SEL without an owners manual. Is that the thing in the roof above and behind the rear passengers heads ? Paul
  16. I have recently aquired my '04 RX300 SE about a month ago, again without a manual : I am sorry, but I cannot answer your question, however I have one or two of my own ( am I allowed to do this ? ). 1. There is a button low down on the right that lights a green 'person leaning forward' light near the air suspension 1/2/3 indicators. I presume this button is also something to do with the suspension, but not sure what ? Oh and you are right. They are lovely cars. Hope you enjoy yours.
