    Spacers wont sort out the problem because an offset of +35 will come out towards the arch 3mm FURTHER than an offset of +38 assuming the width of the wheels is equal. Whats the standard width and offset and the new wheel width and offset? Unless the wheel is already close to the lip of the arch (which I beleive it won't be) then I can't see you having a problem. Nearly all aftermarket alloy wheels that look good have a much lower offset than stock.

    I've got a standalone Satnav as well as Tomtom mobile so thats not an issue. I was simply interested in upgrading the dash of the car really. I would have thought that it wouldn't have been much more difficuilt that replacing the CD player with an aftermarket head unit but it sounds like there is more too it than that. Ahh well if you don't ask.... an all that!

    Hey all, my 96 LS400 has the standard CD changer... what I'd like to know is what LS400's came with a SatNav and what would be required to fit one to my car? Has anyone done this before? Dan

    Hi all, my 96 LS400 didn't come with the Air Filter intake pipework... its the part that goes across the front of the car and directs the air towards the air filter. I beleive there should also be a cover that goes on the battery side as well??

    My EGR pipe is split and sounds similar to pinking. Its not possible to hear it at low throttle but very distinct when loading the engine up more. I wouldn't rule out an exhaust leak. How is the base timing set on these engines as maybe that would be something to check if your convinced its pinking.

    Cheers for all the Info Ruud... I've seen places saying that the trans needs to come out and all sorts! Looks like with a bit of inventfull thinking I can get in there enough to do what I need to.

    In what way?? Just the sound or performance? Everything I've read in the US pretty much says it can be binned and the JDM spec cars never had it anyhow. I've disabled the EGR on verious cars in the past with no performance issues.

    Well its not a rotted exhaust which I guess is good... but... I've found the leak and its coming from the EGR Pipe located in about the most akward place known to man! I'm just going to delete the EGR system and block off the ports I think.

    Damn! Fingers are most deffinately crossed on it being a gasket rather than Rott then :( If not I expect I'll go the route that you considered and have some flanges made up... Out of interest what would you estimate it cost you to have the different parts of the exhaust replaced? Is there anywhere online I can get a guage of price? I'm expecting it will silly!

    Hi all, just a couple of quick questions regarding the stock 1996 LS400 exhaust. Somewhere I'm sure I read that the system is stainless steel? Could anyone confirm either way? My exhaust is blowing on the drivers side just infront of the drivers door. I'm hoping that its just a gasket hence why I'd like to know if it could be the exhaust itself rotted through. Last question is where can I find an exploded diagram of the exhaust with part numbers? I'd rather find my own part numbers I think! Thanks, Dan

    This was a good idea! Had a little hunt around and then I saw a sticker right under my nose! It was changed at 120k so there is no major rush to get it done now :) - I'll probably still do it soon just for peace of mind though. On a side note... I've NEVER had a Blueprint product returned because of a manufacturing/quality issue.

    They do have a lot of apeal :) My mates (Robin H) turbo'd Altezza is pretty damn nice also though... Infact he is soley to blame for myself owning a Lexus!
