  1. how far are you from a lexus main dealer woosey ? mine didnt charge to read codes and diagnose - also have you had the cambelt changed at all or has it been done in time with the reccomended intervals as im wondering if it had jumped a tooth it might give you a fault on all six ignition circuits ? dont panic at my suggestion cos im only guessing as to how or why all six circuits would show a fault - if it was me id be straight in lexus
  2. no sorry mate not the foggiest or i would of chipped in - im sure some one will chime in with some good advice before too long though-sorry i cant be more help its horrible when your cars messing about
  3. shekabon try HERE - i got my 200 ones from these lot - good price and all four doors too - i think the pic shows four pieces for the 250 here but email them first to confirm rears are included - sorry to threadjack, hope it helps shek
  4. sorry to chip in with what could be a silly question as im not up to speed on 400s !! would a 95 400 be obd2 or would it be the paper clip method to extract codes that i have read about in some sections ? if paper clip type should be easy enough to grab the fault codes and narrow down the problem no ? ,,,,,,,,,,, sorry if wildly wrong just read and posted didnt go back and research extensively
  5. The main purpose of the anti squeel shims is to eradicate squeel ! - it should all improve when you go back and have the new shim kit fitted
  6. welcome to the club mate - very interesting choice of car , im sure it will give you many miles of enjoyment
  7. I DID IT ONCE AND IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU WERE NEARLY THERE ! - maybe try removing the tweeter cover from the top of door panel first then panel should just wiggle up and free i think
  8. mmm you can get really powerful magnets on strings quite cheap from chandlery/boat shops a sthey use them to recover stuff dropped into the water off a boat
  9. there should be two shims to each pad and i fitting clip which stops everything rattling about on each side - im sure it will come back quiet as a mouse
  10. i must be on the wrong thing- says free trial-10 downloads full seeksy - unlimited downloads - price of three cds free seeksy - buy another product get seeksy for free
  11. lloyd what are the charges on that though once the demo time is up ?
  12. oh no - that kinda thing happens to me a lot - i feel for you ,good luck
  13. you never know - over here there seems to be good and bad main dealers, some charge some dont - ask the service manager on the phone what code po174 suggests could be wrong - he might be able to tell you
  14. ill check it out lloyd cheers for the tip - yeah fm transmitters are pants for the cheapie ones on sound quality and i dont use mine either but cant be much worse then a wire out the tape deck solution and can use usb
  15. have you not got a lexus main dealer near you ? mine didnt charge to hook it up and diagnose when i had a problem
  16. lloyd is seeksy a similar thing to isohunt ?
  17. hmm - i cant see three coil packs failing again - those codes indicate a misfire on those cylinders but im not sure they indicate a coilpack failure nessacarily - sorry mate id only be guessing so ill shut up or i will probably get you more confused-hopefully ormi or stav or one of the knowledgeable ones will chip in soon with some usable advice - id defo be looking at the po174 issue on the left bank though as the left bank would be three cylinders which im guessing are the three fault codes you keep getting -sorry i cant be more help, good luck
  18. how many coils did you replace ?
  19. snap - im not keen on itunes either as its sooo much easier just to use a memory stick type thing - i hear with the grom the ipod connection option gives better sound quality then the aux type connecter but i would think usb input from a flash drive should be as good as the ipod connecter itself but it might be worth your while doing a bit of research on opinions before you spend your hard earned money on any of the above - ps fm transmitters are another option and cheap off ebay ie £7 upwards but from experience i can say the cheap ones do not give good sound quality but may be as good as the wire out the cassette player option and look a lot better without the wire and tou have the usb option built in
  20. im not sure tbh as i thought they mostly come "gapped" these days - what make and type plug did you fit ? im not a mechanic but i would guess that the "lean" fault could trigger the misfire codes ie trace and fix the PO174 code and the others may clear up when the fuelling issues are resolved - as i say its only a guess though
  21. aaah im not on 7 yet so im a bit outdated there - i bulk bought tdk and phillips dvd/cds ages ago but not sold on the idea that brand makes a lot of odds nowadays with these things - as lloyd said burn slow for good results or go grom even better - i think theres a grom and an xcarlink which have a usb input now for flash drives , memory sticks etc which is probably easier/cheaper then an ipod if you dont have one already
  22. i dont write many cds/dvds anymore but i use nero- very reliable and easy to use - can get basic version for free still i think - just google nero
  23. ooooh uppy wouldnt it be nice to hear if tonys suggestion helped fix your window problems ?? please post up and let us know if all is well now !! - welcome to the club
