  1. Steve its number 9 and the hub end of 9 Mike thanks I will use that site to get the part numbers for the hub bush afore I try ACLex ;)
  2. Anyone have a link to or have diagrams of the rear suspension so I can identify which bush I need to replace, its the arm on the nearside and goes from the front to the inside of the hub but in order to get the right bush I need to know the definition (name) basically. Another problem I have is after changing the cigar lighter in the centre dashboard im not getting any power to the new one, at the same time I removed a nokia phone system ?
  3. Yes I have noticed my speedo reads approx 5-6 mph higher than my sat-nav, mine is a 92 with standard 15" wheels :o

:winky: Got my stereo unit out and removed the car phone and all the junk wiring that went with it and then tried the ISO cable I bought with an aftermarket stereo and it works fine the aerial even works, well chuffed just waiting on the facia to arrive, next will be the seat bar so I can stop falling into the centre console when I adjust the seat backrest Then the N/S rear bushes
  6. Hey Graham im in Methlick so not too far fae ye, I just bought a 92 LS400 and have a few glitches as well :winky:
  7. Before replacing have you tried repairing your existing seat it is normally just a worn rod. The link below suggests several methods of repair. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls400/442318-how-to-fix-the-problem-with-non-working-reclining-on-drivers-seat-pictures-inside.html If no luck try sending a PM to benfur as he normally has plenty of spares Cheers Steve reading the thread in the link it sounds like a worn or broken rod could well be the problem I have already sent Benfur a PM as I need a battery clamp as some PO has broken the clamp and bent the front mount (rough bleeders) many thanks for the info Yep its the rod thats the problem, which makes me happy in a strange way as its not the whole seat
  8. Manuals for the LS400 are hard to find but when you find one their worth their weight in GOLD, cheers Stu :D

Cheers Kevin, well ive had my Lexus for two days now and after it has just passed its MOT the front brakes a juddering a little but after reading many threads on the brakes its no big deal, but the twist in the upright part of the drivers seat is getting uncomfortable apart from that and the little bits of green mould / fur its a joy to drive even if the radio does not work so have sent for single DIN kit to stick in my own cd/radio and the iso cables as well, but the only thing thats getting me is the small lights to the inside of the main headlamps as I cant find how to switch them on
  11. Have you tryed www.frankpickles.co.uk or Carole Nash or Swift cover :winky:
  12. Drivers seat needed for 92 LS400 as mine has a twist in the back rest so I keep sliding to the centre console Preferably in grey leather but if its close to Aberdeen then any colour would be considered as driving with the twist is not very practical or comfortable

Thanks Ian for your warm welcome, the information and tips have been rewarding enough, so much information so little time to gather and store :duh: Once my Lexus is on the road I will be heading for the Gold membership so I can help to keep the vast amount of information available B)
