  1. hi guys im feeling my cars too plain on the outside so im needing convinced on which bumpers/splitters/skirts to go for so if you can please post pictures of your favourites that would be great thanks stani
  2. ok i fitted all of the above parts today, the only pain in the ***** was doing the gearbox oil! why dont they make a small compartment from inside the car to get to the refill plug! anywho i created this and manually pumped the oil in, it took about 30-45 minutes to do 2 litres and worked well :) at first drive of the car power steering was very stiff at points and the belt squeeked on each turn so a little tighten and that was it, anyone looking to do this i recommend doing it yourself, i done more than what is included in a typical service and it took me just under 2 hours and cost £156.44. less of the stealers and DIY! list of things to do are: water pump, new radiator, new battery, new discs and pads, wheel spacers (when i get them), rear lights (when i get a replacement), centre caps, tidy up calipers, and maybe some stretch tyres
  3. Im sorry but my car sits the same as yours and ive used 50mm springs. I take it you can go lower?? Love the wheels
  4. Nice car! Where you get the brakes from? Are they rear ones too?? And how much....
  5. I had a problem like this before on a micra where it would only rev to 3000rpm. A throttle body swap fixed this, i cant tell for sure if its the same on a lexus.....
  6. Id stick to genuine parts. Is there no way you can do some or all of the work yourself?
  7. I am getting a new water pump also. Forgot about that. £98 for that too. And i have the centre caps. I plan to do them i just havent had the time. I dont want to spray over the badge so it means i need to remove it clean them all up, respray and refit, if i dont want to refit the badge i have small holes to fill. Ongoing project so things will get done eventually
  8. soon2blexus here are my mods and prices: front grill £50 50mm lowering springs £120 wheel respray £50 HID kits £200 rear lights £200 to be fitted 30mm wheel spacers £220 to be fitted regarding the engine work here are whats been done and whats to be done with prices: timing belt was done last weekend. genuine belt and tensioner for £90 OLD BELT got it all done in 4 hours with 2 of those hours removing the crank bolt and pulley! was an experience as ive never done a timing belt. parts i picked up today and prices 10L OIL OIL FILTER AND SUMP PLUG WASHER ENGINE FLUSH 10L COOLANT BELTS 6 DENSO IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS BRAKE CLEANER GEARBOX OIL 2L GEARBOX OIL TREATMENT ive to pick up my air filter tomorrow as he forgot to order it. as for service it was great. he threw in 5L coolant, engine flush, brake cleaner and i got an extra 5L oil for £0.01p the castrol gear oil and slick 50 gearbox treatment was bought from halfords but the total cost for all the above is £156.44
  9. I havent recieved my spacers yet so i cant say yet my friend. Im expecting them tomorrow, P.s i couldnt find 20mm hubcentric ones....
  10. Im going to get a price for oil filter, air filter, oil, gear oil, coolant, spark plugs and the 3 belts from toyota. Will let yous all know
  11. I got a coded key cut from a mate for £22. Only problem was opening the doors set off the alarm so its probably best to buy a genuine blank and get it done that way but if you dont know anyone i doubt it will be much cheaper than dealer prices
  12. Kenfoxy. My timing belt has just been done and that sticker is there with todays date and mileage and lexus didnt do it. I did, luckily i got stickers with the belt :D
  13. Right thats my timing belt done and tensioner. Genuine toyota parts for £88. Took 4 hours in total, should have been 2 but it took 2 hours to get the crank pulley and bolt off. Had to take the radiator/fans out to fit a gear puller in to get the pulley off. Starts and drives the exact same but now the engine management light is on, any ideas guys?? Cheers
  14. right whilst taking photos to send to the guy in taiwan i noticed where the problem was. the clear red lens and the black plastic backing has been glued together too far apart. good side bad side hopefully this will get replaced!
  15. Cheers for the info. Ive done it before but some headlights are different to others. Will get onto it this weekend. Try hidkits.co.uk Thats where i got my hid kits from, good quality and next day delivery iirc :) good luck
  16. No bother jay. I know the sort of people. The supplier is wanting alit of pictures of the problem. I wish it was me thats fitted them wrong so i can have the lights fitted but its not. Hopefully ill get it replaced of im taking the heat gun to it maybe....
  17. Yes 199 delivered and i can assure you ive fitted these right. When compared to the original lexus light the curve shape is different. Im not stupid enough to get that wrong. I even took out both the plastic clips as a test to see if it will fit which it doesnt. It has to be forced into that shape which i shouldnt have to do
  18. yeah the old ones fit flush against the bumper and rear 1/4 where as these stick out passenger side only. ive emailed the seller from taiwan lol and im confident this will be sorted the thing is that one side fits so it could just be a bad unit for the other side. i like the look of them and as long as i can get similar fog lights then i will be happy :) stani
  19. well was happy to find out my LED rear lights come today but gutted when i found this when fitted it just doesnt fit properly, when compared to the driver side LED rear light the curve isnt the same. anyone ever had anything like this or is it just my usual crap luck stani
  20. ive had mines fitted for a couple weeks now and no problems so far. i paid a little over £200 for main/dipped beam kits. and how hard was opening the headlights as im planning on doing that next if its easy enough :) stani
  21. hi mate ive recently lowered my lexus and i can say its very fiddly if you dont remove anything from the front setup. you can get it out by turning the wheel and moving the shock up/down but if the balljoint comes off easy enough just do that. as for the back i had to remove the rear caliper to get the shock out, i dont know if this is the case with other people when they have done it :)
  22. i dont know if this is some sort of trick question because it looks like they are all there. brake caliper is the part that has the brake pads and piston
