  1. This is only for the automatic transmission I think. There is no such option for 220d.
  2. Nope. I don't have that. It takes forever for the car to warm up and the winters in Bulgaria are cold :)

  4. As you guys already mentioned this is programmed in the ECU and this is the engine warm-up program. If it bothers you just turn off the ventilators as I do and the car will idle at 750-800 :) It blows cold air anyway (I don't have the additional air heater) until it reaches working temperature.
  5. I've done a lot of research on this topic and although it seems like an easy task it is not. Finding the ballasts, the bulbs and the harness is the easy part. Halogen lights use H11 bulbs while the HIDs are D4S meaning that you will need a whole new headlight assembly which includes the auto leveling motor and the AFS system. The whole headlight assembly is sold second hand in the US for about $370 (each) so around $740 for both + shipping. If you want to go the IS2011 style you will have to pay around $4000 -> http://is.sewellparts.com/accessories-catalog/Exterior/IS250-2007/2411.html but you will get the LED DRLs. If you want to retrofit other lens into the Halogen assembly you will have to cut a lot as the space is very tight and you have to know what you are doing otherwise you will ruin your lights.
  6. I think that the brakes of my IS220d are very adequate and I am extremely happy with them. The only problem of the OEM brakes is the price which is higher than other aftermarket replacements. And of course the drilled and grooved disks give that sporty look which is another plus.
  7. I was wondering the same thing. Kinetix Grooved & Drilled Front disks + pads £126.99 Genuine Lexus Brake front disks + pads £207.67 The website of the "manufacturer" looks a little bit fishy to me -> http://www.kinetixbrakes.co.uk/

  9. This is what I would recommend to you: OE-1 Evaporator Odor Eliminator
  10. Hello, My Lexus is out of warranty now and as I have some experience as a car mechanic I want to service it myself. However my service book is in Dutch. I bought a used User Manual in English from ebay.co.uk but it says to check the service manual for the service intervals and more detailed info (and that was not included obviously :) ) My car is a little bit over 160 000 km (~100000 mi) and the oil is due to be changed in less than 1000 km. along with that I will change the oil filter, the pollen filter, I will flush and recharge the AC, change the fuel and air filters and I will clean the EGR valve. I will appreciate if anyone scans and sends me the service book where I can check the service intervals and what parts need to be changed on each service. Thank you in advance!
  11. Yeah I did check in the manual as well. I feel a bit embarrassed I don't know where I got the idea that I used the button to unlock the doors.
  12. Have your AC system washed and disinfected. Change your pollen filter as well.
  13. I am pretty sure I used the button to unlock the car as well ... maybe I am wrong. I will have to go through the manual again. Yes, you are right and I have that option set to unlock all the doors as usually I go out with a lot of friends and its more convinient to have all doors unlocked at once.
  14. Hello, I have a very strange problem on my IS220d. I cannot unlock the doors by pressing the button on the handle. I can unlock the doors by grabbing the handle and by pressing the unlock button on the remote. I don't know since when I have this problem because I unlock all the doors by grabbing the handle (last time I used the button to unlock was few days ago). However I can lock the doors by pressing the button but when I try to unlock I hear the rear doors trying to unlock but then nothing happens and they stay locked. I washed the car yesterday, my windows were down and I remember that I unlocked the rear door manually by reaching out from the outside and unlocking it. Any idea if I did something wrong and activated some safety feature or this is just a defect and I need to go to the Lexus dealer so he can rip me off?
  15. This is what I found for the 00-05 IS models. But there is nothing for the 06-10 models. http://www.tokensolutions.net/products/Toyota%7B47%7DLexus%7B47%7DScion-Mirror-Tilt-Module.html EDIT: I found this universal solution but it seems like a lot of wire cutting, soldering and taping -> http://www.kptechnologies.com/products.php#/13 and I am trying to avoid that. Do you know if there is a genuine module and what part number it is? Thanks!
  16. Hello, This is a very useful option but unfortunately I don't have it on my Lexus IS220d (I guess it is not SE-L) so my question is can I do it myself? It must be something easy right? If you can control the mirrors electrically probably Lexus left a backdoor to unlock that functionality ... Are the Lexus dealers offering such intervention? Thanks in advance!
  17. Hello everyone, I have a 2006 IS220d with halogen headlights (with lens). I want to put xenon lights, not that I'm not happy with the amount of light its just the color temp. On my other car I have a 6000K bi-xenon headlights and I got used to the white color and the brightness. I have experience in the aftermarket xenon conversion as I've done that on a lot of my friend's cars. I used cheap Chinese (from ebay, from local resellers and etc.) xenon conversion kits and I know that the quality is not that good. I am willing to pay more just to put together an OEM kit and hopefully that will cost me less than my local Lexus dealer is going to charge me. My question is: do you happen to know what parts would I need besides the ballasts and the xenon light bulbs? Will the standard wiring fit? I found a place on the Internet where I can get the OEM ballasts (Denso D4 D4S D4R OEM Toyota Lexus Ballast 85967 52010) for about $25 each which is quite cheap but I think that is the real price.
