  1. gonna bump this thread guys, as the company idea has undergone a change in it's services, and we are all meeting on Saturday to decide on it's name once and for all.

The company is going to be solely commercial vehicle hire, not storage facilities.

Any name will be considered (as long as it's clean and family friendly) and it needs to be catchy!

    Appreciate the help!

  2. Just got a phone call from my mortgage man, as me and mrs stu are in the process of buying a house.

We had some issues regarding credit histories etc, but he found a company that were prepared to look at the case, and they got back to him today with the final verdict!

    We were approved for the mortgage! :D :D :D :D :D :D

    Finally some good news!!!

Now all we've got to do is pay through the nose for the privelage for the next 30 years!!!

  3. Stu i would have been happy to participate, unfortunatly as your aware, im not in the UK at the mo.

but what we do see here again is the same old Typical LOC APATHY

this is the very reason im wondering is there much use in myself and others busting a bollock to sort JAE out

People such as yourself i have no problem with Mat! If you can't make it, you can't make it, thats a fair enough reason!

But you aren't gonna tell me that of the 9,000 odd members of this club that less than 10 were free on that day????

But hey, it's been cancelled, end of.

Not to sound like i'm trying to lay the guilt trip or anything, but the funds that could have been raised could of let someone see their kids grow up.

As far as JAE goes, i'll be there, but i agree with you Mat, why should people bust themselves for very little response?

  4. a real big thanks to those that did support the idea of the charity event, i'm sure that it would have been a great day out.

A real shame that it has ended because of lack of interest, and an even bigger shame for the charity and the people and their families that would have benefited from the event.

Maybe in the future we'll try and organise something else, but at the moment, i have lost all enthusiasm for doing such a thing, even though it's for a good cause, because i feel that it has been nothing but a waste of my time trying to get it going.

We'll see what happens in the future, but if i'm being honest, don't hold ya breath.

  5. well,

the plans for mine are starting to take shape, i've got the induction kit on it now, and i've extended the air sensor wires for it, i've painted the air scoop in metal flake blue, and am in the process of re-painting the other engine covers as they've got a bit tatty over the last year, and they won't be going on the car until it's show time!

I've also begun repairing the headlights (see another thread) and will be putting the eyelids on them when they're suitably dry and rigid.

And thats all i'm gonna tell you for now  !!!!!

  6. Just fitted Ifraz's old induction kit to the motor, and i love the noise it makes when you drop your right foot hard to the floor!!!!

Haven't really noticed a huge performance gain, it does go better but not vastly, but i wasn't really expecting one, so no loss there!!

Cheers Ifraz, real nice bit of kit, and i promise i'll look after it well!!!!!

Will post piccies over the weekend! :D

  7. I won't buy anything from eBay ever again after the way that they have treated my issue. They go on about how good their buyer protection programme and policies are, but in real life, they don't care.

Might give the square trade thing a try, but not sure if i'll get anywhere with it, as this guy has just ignored me completeley, so why would he respond to anyone else about it?

  8. you could put a link into the page on eBay to show us

All you do is copy the text in your browser/address bar (begins with http://) and paste it into the page, or you could use the link option when putting up a reply.

  9. @ Fargo - eBay are not interested in the case at all, and the seller won't even reply to my messages, despite me leaving them the worst feedback possible. I asked them if there was anything else i could do, and they said, quite plainly and simply - No.

Basically, the only mounts left are the ones that bolt into the wheel arch area.

I do have a spare set of units that have been opened, so could probably nick some of the bracket points from there and glue them on, but i don't want it to look tacky (i like neat things!).

    Might give that a try!

    Cheers Fellas!

  10. Right,

I was bidding on, and won, a set of standard headlights on eBay a while back, and the seller advertised that they had one of the mounting clips broken, which isn't a huge issue, as mine have one broken too.

Basically, they arrived, and the only points that are actually able to be secured are the bolts that you access from the wheel arch, all the other mounting points are busted. Now, i have tried getting my money back, talking to the seller etc. but have had no luck whatsoever, and have basically been told by eBay that it's my issue, despite the problem i am now faced with.

I paid just over £100 notes for them, and the seller doesn't answer emails, phone calls, messages or anything, so i am well and truly stuck with them.

So, as i spent so much cash on them, i am wandering if i could use them as i had originally planned, just mount the eyelids on them, and put them on the car. I don't think they'll move, coz of the grille etc holding that area of the lights in place, but i can't be sure. Don't even know if it'll pass an MOT with them like that.

Before anyone says that i should get my money back from the seller etc etc, eBay DO NOT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT, and have said that it's my problem, so let that be a warning to all you ebayers, their policy on problems is ******* and not worth the paper it's written on, it has a cluase in it somewhere that allows them to not do anything about it obviously! :megaangry:

Anyone advise me on the headlights then?
