  1. First time I'd ever been, fantastic weekend! Ended up on the OJC stand and had a riot :D
  2. Premium bonds are effectively reusable lottery tickets. Statistically, it will not give you a particularly good return but you might win a million quid. If you want guarantees, there are better ways to invest your money.
  3. Brake tested some **** in a BMW who was riding 3 feet from my bumper along a country lane (at about 60). He had to swerve off the road to miss me, then preceded to follow me home and have a rant. At which point I picked up a torque wrench from the garage and told him he was a c*nt for being so close and he should f*ck right off. Took a chunk out of his front bumper and scratched the paint on at least 2 panels when he swerved off, so that probably cost him a few quid. I've blown up at someone once, though they did almost run a child over.
  4. Yep, can't complain! Won't be getting rid of it, unless I crash.
  5. Only problem I've had was an annoying rattle from the brakes, turned out the rear drivers side anti-squeal spring was missing. Considering my car has done upwards of 170k, I'm astonished! Most common problem on my car is ****ers in car parks denting it! Came back to find a whacking great big scrape which has taken most of the paint off the side of the rear bumper. Thanks a bunch whoever that was, I will torture and kill your children if I ever find you.
  6. bash up some pictures of the TRS ones please.
  7. unless you are installing them inside one of the existing light clusters, it is going to look terrible.
  8. Nice car, I've got a W plate sport in the same colour :D
  9. mines done nearly 180k and it runs like new. Edit: I rag the hell out of mine most days. Take it gently in the mornings, but aside from that I'll be going as fast as I have grip for. Never put a foot wrong, missed 5th a few times and it doesn't even care. It cost me 2 grand, so if it blows up, I'll buy another one.
  10. Don't like the LED bits around the casing, but that is a very clean install. Saw a pair at JAE that had been set back about 3 inches, looked absolutely perfect with some SMD angel eyes around the light surrounds.
  11. rear light covers look ****, everything else is extremely tidy! Nice car :D
  12. managed 458 miles on a tank last time I was on a run, car seems to do better at 80-85 in 6th gear than it does at 70mph. Round town is shocking though, get about 320 to a tank. Mine was stupidly bad, but after replacing the air filter with a K&N, swapping plugs and replacing the O2 sensor it's been much better.
  13. I've done a quick search, all I can find is something about evo 9 seats and welding, or getting hold of some stupidly rare TRD seats and rails. Basically, I want to get rid of the heavy ***** heated front seats in my IS200 and replace them with some lighter recaro seats. Anyone know the best way to do this? I don't mind buying some knackered old seats, as I'm getting the whole interior reupholstered anyway. Any help would be good, I lack the facilities to weld myself but if anyone has done this in the midlands area I'd be very interested. I'm not after race buckets, I need something that will still be comfortable enough for a long drive.
  14. I wired them to the sidelights, I've left all the OEM fittings in and made attachments to fit the angel eye inverters to them. I sealed the hole again with some very big shrink wrap and a bit of silicon sealant.
  15. Can you post up the finished product, seriously considering buying these.
  16. TJZ engineering on another forum mate. Hoping to have it installed by the end of March.
  17. easy peasy to do, once you've got your head around removing them it really is easy. First one took us about 4 hours, second one was off and on in less than 2.
  18. Hello, I wasn't sure which section to put this in, but I thought here would probably do. Basically, I've been given an extremely good quote on a 1JZ-gte vvti install and I want to know the following from anyone who has done it: what is it like to live with? does it drink much more than the terrible 1G-FE? anyone going to trax at Silverstone on the 4th fancy giving me a passenger ride in one? How much faster is it than a stock IS200 sport? did you have to swap the LSD over, or does the is200 sport LSD cope? I'm sure I will have a few more questions, but if anyone who owns one wants to shed a little light on what it's like as a daily, that would be nice. Cheers.
