    I tend to agree that mud flaps can spoil the look especially if they are on the large side and are in contrast to the paint work colour, but as my colour is darkish grey, they do blend in and don't stand out too much. For the body mouldings, I think the IS can look a bit slab sided and the mouldings break up the tall door panels. Has anyone thought of painting them to match the body colour? Is it possible?

    Has anyone ventured into tapping into the rear view mirror power supply (or the rain sensor - but wont have a live source) as a power source for dash cams etc. Looks like a convenient source for power rather than hiding wires to go to the fuse box. Any thoughts?

    F@#! just kerbed the os front alloy.......in the dark. Was messing around with display settings and did not realise the car was so close to the kerb!!!!! And is was dark as well Any recommendations for repairs?

    On my old IS250 (2008), I could set the speedo dial to say 50mph mark (and the Rev dial also) so that when the speed went to 50 or above a circular yellow/orange band would light up/appear inside the outer ring. Is it possible to do this on the IS300h? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    How did you get the emblem off the metal backing? I have got the parts now and cannot see any easy way of removing it without damaging the thing!

    I'm thinking of doing a DIY adjustment - cut off the 5mm at the bottom (subject the the top rim fitting perfectly), it should be OK. Will post update when I receive all the items and have had the time to do the adjustment.

    What glue/resin did you use to stick the emblem? I've ordered the two ashtrays from Toyota and also been able to source the keyrings. Any advice would be appreciated.

    I have just got my IS300h. I registered on the Lexus Portal. Was trying to download the latest (??) map update. The website requires you to add a car. I did that but when I go to download the map update, it says that no vehicle added to my account. Strange as I go to add again the system says the car is already there!!!! What a waste of time. And the website looks like the work of a 5 year old on a DOS machine!!!!!! Lexus, what are you doing!!!!!

    Hi Michael Thanks for your reply and offer. I have been meaning to open up the door card to check. I used those 'clips' to join the wires so it could be that. Funny enough the mirrors seem to work after a heavy downpour! To be fair, it s daunting to open the door card as it was a pain to put it back on last time and I dont really want to break one of those plastic poppers. I will however take out the main window switch panel and check the PO40 box and if I have enough courage (and time and good weather) will take off the door card and check and will update here. Regards.

    I bought and installed this on my Lexus IS250 (08) about 2 years ago. It worked flawlessly for about a year and since then only seems to works occasionally and then goes off. Any thoughts?

    A few more pics with notes that may help, depending on what you find. For convenience I wired in an identical plug to the one on the drivers side on the passenger side, so both the illuminated plates are plug 'n play.. Thanks Tango. I installed the scuff plates this afternoon. The job did not take too long as I already had plugs at drivers side and passengers side. However, with the pics provided by Tango, I connected (tapped) the white wire of the plugs to the B-pillar wire in both cases. Working beautifully.

    I have noticed that my steering wheel (IS250 08 SE) is leaning to my left even when I am driving straight. It has always been slightly off level since I bought the car in January. What could be the issue and what is the best course of action to cure it? Thanks for any help.

    Thanks for the update Michael. I bought the package from you recently but as yet have not installed. One question I need some help on is where to locate the box within the door lining and with what so that it is securely fixed and would not make 'loose' sound. Solution with pics would be helpful. Thanks.

    Does anyone know the part number(s) for the OEM illuminated scuff plates. I would like to fit them on my IS250 08 SE. I believe that they are plug and play on my model (could be wrong). I spoke to the parts dept at Birmingham Lexus ( a very nice chap, but could not find the part on their system). Any help appreciated.

    Hi, just joined as I have purchased a IS250 SE (08) manual. Phone up my local Lexus dealer for a 20k service and was quoted £480 odd pounds. I also enquired about installation of front and rear parking sensor. The lady at the other end of the phone quoted £1,400!!!!!!. I nearly dropped the phone. Is this the going rate and is it worth doing it at a Lexus dealer. I have seen a variety of kits on the net, in particular the PD1 (no holes). Has anyone had the kit installed by Lexus and if so is it worth it? Any other suggestions on kits and installations would be most welcome. Thanks.
