  1. Thanks for all the help here. Got the fuse (and some spares) but was unable to get the old fuse out using the fuse popper bought from Halfords. It seems Lexus have spaced them so tight that the tool does not go between two fuses to extract. Had to then go back and buy the smallest needle nosed pliers I could find. Even then it would not go in between the fuses but did somehow manage to get it out. It would seem that using pliers does cause a bit of damage to the micro fuse top. Once new fuse installed, all is well: aircon dash working and the srs warning notice gone. Thanks again. How to others take out the fuse on the Is300h? Specific tool would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Thanks very much. I did use the correct pins for the connection. Having checked, I have blown the 10A fuse but unfortunately I don't have any spare micro fuses. So will wait until tomorrow and buy some and see where I go. Guessing I may have shorted while sticking the pins in as there is little to no space between the pin slots!!! Will update.
  3. Hi all Any help would be appreciated. Was attempting to tap into the rear view mirror. Checked power supply etc and was connected up. Used the brown and blue wires coming from the back of the connector. Initial checking everything worked. On final install, nothing worked and now I have a 'check srs airbag system' warning coming up and the heater panel not working nor is the rear parking camera. Any help would be appreciated. IS300h 64 plate. Thanks.
  4. I did. The dealer's tech guy went through the car and also came along a test drive with me. They stated nothing found but did say to use Shell and not supermarket petrol. The car now behaves like before service and so I suspect they forgot to do something electronic or software wise. As to the regular rattling at startup, this has also gone although occasional startup metal noise is there. Apparently that's how the engine behaves at startup!!
  5. Hmmmm....I will let you know when I put then on the car! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I will check engine oil level first thing in the morning. I have a feeling that engine oil may not have been changed or not enough put in at service. How does one go and prove this point to them. May have to have a word with them and also Lexus UK. I had other works done to the car and now thinking that they may have rushed the service. I was the last one to be returned my car on the day and that was after all the staff (expect the service agent) had left the showroom. Any pointers would help.
  7. I had my 20k service last month at Lexus AD and since then the car makes this rattling metalic noise on startup when the engine starts. Its like metal on metal. Also, the car seems not to revs higher than 2.5k before changing gear in sports mode where it makes this louder noise before changing gears. Anyone had this? Just called them and waiting to hear from them.
  8. Was playing before but now suddenly no sound. The time line shifts but no sound? Any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Anyone thought of doing a carbon wrap of the bonnet, a bit like the RC model (?). I remember seeing the carbon version in the flesh at Hatfield, looked rather nice. Black colour with carbon bonnet.
  10. I have this when the system is on. But this has not made any difference???
  11. My air conditioning system does not seem to change from internal circulation to outside air or vice vers at all. Is this normal? On my old IS250, when in 'Auto' the system to change between the two regularly and in fact would go into internal circulation as soon as you were doing crawling speed or in a tunnel. The IS300h seems just to stay in the internal circulation all the time. I have it on 'Auto' with 'A/C'. Anyone?
  12. Received the delivery yesterday from Lexuspartsdirect.co.uk. The main dealer was quoting £400 for the scuff plates and installation. Didn't bother asking about mud guards. Was looking to get the blue light version but alas not available here. The JDM versions cost a fortune (and only come as a pair of friont two!). Got the lot for £350 delivered. Now waiting for a good weather period to do a self install. I did install these on my IS250 (08) two years ago. The scuff plates are now more 'packaged' and the instructions seem to be quite clear. On my IS250 I had to find DIY instructions and also do some tapping into the wire looms. This time, it seems that Lexus has kindly made it a bit easier!
  13. Common issue on the IS screen. The manual states wipe with damp cloth and don't use any chemicals. What's happened is the anti reflective coating has come off. In my opinion the coating does little to help reflections so just remove it all Removed the anti glare stuff of the screen. Slight covering left near the edges. Will give it a good clean with Polywatch and clean up. Has anyone used a screen protector. Amazon seem to have the Lexerd screen protectors but as its from the USA, the model numbers are a bit confusing. Thinking of ordering this one: 2015 IS250 IS350. Is that the correct version for the 2014 IS300h? Thanks in advance.
  14. Well if it does ever become loss you know what to do :) Loss or Loose?????
  15. How do you take the light fitting out to fit the bulbs for front and rear roof lights? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I thought I'd give the interior a good clean. The lcd screen looked a bit dirty so used my eyeglass cleaning solution. Sprayed the stuff on and lo n behold the lad screen now looks a mess. The ar or ag coating has come off in patches. Wtf. The eyeglass cleaner says no grass chemicals!!!!! Thinking of using a cleaner to remove it all! Any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Are they not just plug n play? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Any recommendations. Had a browse on the US sight and it appears Philips 127996000KX2 seems good choice but amazon UK says Osram LEDriving LED Retrofit W5W fits the IS300h? Anyone had the above ones installed? Regards.
