  1. I just stumbled across this one on my regular ebay trawl. Let's just say I haven't added it to my watch list.
  2. Thanks both for your posts, I can see advantages to both - waiting for a call back from a dealer with a nice mk4 - better sit down before he tells me how little my Mazda is worth on this cold winters day. :o
  3. Just shows we are all different, I love the wheels on both cars, particularly as opposed to the standard wheels. For me, the original wheels are probably the weak point of the car from a cosmetic point of view, particularly when corroded as many seem to be. I do think wheels can transform a car, and choosing the right one is crucial imo.
  4. Well, I've spent many hours reading posts on here and scouring ebay, autotrader, car auctions etc, etc. I'm not 100% decided, but I'm leaning toward a late model LS400 for around £2k, as opposed to an early LS430 for around £3k. There are three or four cracking looking 1999/2000 cars around for £2-3k, including a couple at dealers with warranty. I need to sell our MX5, but will probably ring the dealers tomorrow for a price to change, you never know your luck. My thinking is that the 400 seems a more reliable option, and paying a top end price for a 400 might be wiser than buying a bottom end 430. I'd be interested to hear your opinions, particularly if you've had both. Thanks in advance - Mike.
  5. My camper van was cheapest with Swinton last year, but their renewal was way dearer than the lowest this year. Loyalty doesn't pay when it comes to insurance these days, I now use comparison sites for all my policies, property and motoring, and the savings over a year amounts to between £500 and a thousand pounds. Not a bad return for a few hours work.
  6. If you check his other sales, he's selling 3 cars prepared for banger racing. He says on one of those listings "Also I have a basically built mondeo and a ready to race primera and 2 more complete ultimas, 3 Lexus ls400, 3 Lexus gs 300 for sale "

    Hello

Hello, I've been reading the forum for a while, after seeing a link when looking at an LS430 on ebay. I'm a bit of a jap motor fan, having owned, driven and worked on various Toyotas, Hondas and Datsuns/Nissans over the years. Currently we run a Toyota camper and a MX5, but considering ditching the Mazda for something more wafty. I'm also inclined to own a V8 petrol while I still can, I fear their time is running out fast.
