Campbelt was changed at 109k by Lexus, last service was a full one a couple of years ago, (stamped in book .... What happened in between I haven't any paperwork for) so I'm going to change all fluids anyway front lwr caster arms and ball joints, all filters, prob do fuel filter as well, plugs, not sure about ht leads as I think it's coil packs ......... Was thinking about doing the smiffie Soarer engine flush , paraffin and gear oil mix, worked really well on the 1uzfe but this seems a little more complex so might have to think a little deeper on that one !!!, what would you guys use to clean the maff sensor, definitely a more refined car than the Volvo lol , not saying its not fast, just the seat of the pants dyno needs a recalibration .......

Hi all I have a 2gs430, it's quick but doesn't feel as quick as my old Volvo t5 did, have no idea when it was last serviced its 153k now and the last stamp in book is 129k, will do the usual, oil air filters and oil change, new plugs (what type?) will do a search on that one, any recommendations as to what else might want changing, ( have done the ecu reset).. Any thoughts ... Perhaps it does it so smoothly I just don't notice lol Cheers terry

Have just checked the offset of my wheels and it's +50 , seems a bit too far in to me, which may explain the very small gap between the inside of the tyre and some of the suspension parts

Cheers Steve will check them out tomorrow, had the same type on my Soarer , not sure why it would only do it at speed tho

Hi all I have just noticed a squeal from the front end of car when turning sharply or quickly in either direction that sounds a bit like tyre rubbing the wheels are standard 17 inch on a gs430 I have checked for signs of rubbing but can find nothing and the noise is only there for a short period when u first initiate the turn no noises at low speed manoeuvres am baffled ......... Been looking for new car mats for my 2001 GS430 ........ But can only seem to find the GS300 version for that year doh ....... Are the floor pans the same, could any Gs300 owners of that year send me a pic with some rough dimensions for theirs so I can check it out pls Cheers Terry

Yes went to see it, was filthy been kept in a farm yard lol , drove it and it drives really well very quiet (not as smooth as my jag was) loads of grunt no nasty knocks all paperwork ok and txt check came back ok ......... So I bought it and yes it was on that .... Auction site ........ Brought it home gave it to the local valet team ...... Wow what a transformation and cheap as chips too lol

I have found on an auction site a gs430 at 1675 ... Has an mot 10 months, service history, 153k miles, seems a bit cheap to me worried it might be a lemon ,, have no experience of this model don't want to buy a pup ..... Any advice welcome .... Many thanks terry
