  1. that is a slight posibility, i did test drive it in may/june. It had a couple thou miles on it.
  2. mine doesnt it seems, but the one i test drove 100% did.
  3. that cant be right - the car i test drove (exact same model/year/etc as mine) had tpms. On the right hand toggle button (where you can adjust dial speed light ring) had tpms options showing up.
  4. So after all the fun in sorting out nee tires, I managed to get a puncture in the old one! Was planning to do a big burnout before swapping them. Oh well. Anyway, the car didn't notify my about the puncture. It should have though. Any ideas why?
  5. What do you mean by this? Do you mean that you shouldnt manually go into neutral, or that the car doesnt do it automatically?
  6. The rears should be 255. Any reason why you are opting for a narrower tyre? Yeah, because there is a massive increase in range for 245 over 255. There is only a small amount of stretch required which i dont think will be noticeable. The loss in traction will be unnoticeable due to the fact the car will be nowhere near its limits. The tyres I am going for are a bit harder (longer lasting) which will reduce traction anyway. While these two things will compond the problem, again the car will be no where near the limits of the rear tyres. I have always kept pressure up to its required limits (sometimes a psi over) using a handly nitrogen canister at my work ;)
  7. I think your right, so I decided to purchase 245 rears and 225 fronts. All good for thursday!
  8. Managed to find some goodyears efficiantgrips for the fronts (225) for a good price. Would having the same profile tyres on the rear (instead of 255) be too adverse? I dont dive the car hard or anything - it manly cruises on the motorways.
  9. That's a Photoshop of what it might look like. Is the ct rear on the is body.
  10. I think the geometry is set right (its slightly off for better track handling as part of the f-sport setup) compared to other models of the is250. I just need to look at getting new tyres. the rears are still fairly good nick. just the fronts starting to show their age.
  11. I'm certainly looking forward to finding out the release date. Will seriously consider a trade in for it, but what you see in photos might be very different in real life.
  12. yeah, been thinking of getting them done, but i didnt think much could be changed (not many adjustment points). Plus my current tyres are just over 26k miles old!
  13. Hey all, i know this is a common question, but I hope that mine is slightly different. I have the 2011 F-Sport running 18". It seems the outer edges of the fronts are almost completly bald (still drives and handles well though). Is this a normal aspect of the sport setup? I know that Lexus put on different geometry setup for the F-Sport over the other models. Also, I think its the stock tyres (bridgestones i think?). I am looking to get some new sets all round, but want to keep them matching. Any suggestions on types? I have been looking at T1R and Eagle F1, but I cant seem to find them for fronts and rears. Also the Ecsta Le Sport KU39. What you guys think? My current tyre sizes are: Front: 225/40/R18 92Y Rear: 255/40/R18 95Y Appreciate this guys! :D
  14. and at jalopnik: http://jalopnik.com/...s-is-this-is-it http://img.gawkerass...pg/original.jpg http://img.gawkerass...pg/original.jpg http://img.gawkerass...pg/original.jpg
  15. increased throttle response is about it imo. Steering and downshifts feel just the same to me. Tis fun to play with that switch.
  16. The second vid really shows off the interior. So much better than the current generation IS. Hopefully we would get to see the 350 here, but unlikely. The sound of having a decent 8speed auto is certainly appealing, but only if the power is there. I hope that the IS250 would have enough power to run decently in 8th gear without it jumping two gears or more down at the slightest touch of throttle on the motorway. Also, unsure about the LED lights - they seem completly seperate from the main headlight housing. hmmm.... What you guys thinking?
  17. Has anyone seen this? I am REALLY liking the new interior!!!! (from what we can see anyway!)
  18. I dont actually understand what you have typed. Could you explain what you are meaning?
  19. The flap on the exhaust - is that standard? Is that in the is250 as well?
  20. they are definatly lower than my car at the moment (the f-sport doesnt come with any f-sport accessories available in the USA). I wouldnt mind them tho! :D
  21. i think its just under 1/2" front, none rear, so slight downward facing. Thats at least on the newer IS250 that I have. Could be wrong though.
