  2. well if it goes well and we get enough interest i will plan a couple a year. xmas pint, summer bbq :D
  3. i dunno where the petrol guzzling comes from i get 40 mpg on my motorway trips easily, when i am heavy footed though it chews fuel....but its not hard to be fuel concious in them.
  4. ive had the same and its a ****** wheel bearing, try that
  5. either the first weekend or the second weekend in august. if u cant make it the second weekend how is everyone with the 5th of aug? if not we will stick with the 12th. i will investigate a place now :) ok so a bit of an idea off me is brockhampton estate, i know the guy that runs it, and been there a couple of times myself when i was younger. would mean meeting at worcester south junction :) http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/brockhampton-estate/ anyone got any of their own ideas?

  7. well thats already enough for a few cars and a chat at least. would be good to get 10-20 cars. ok so sunday it will be, how is sunday the 12th of aug? 2nd weekend. i'll sort a venue as central as i can manage, somewhere rural? or somewhere in a town? also, for the bbq, bring your own food or pay a fiver each and eat as much as u like?
  8. know a mate infact that was well chuffed that he got a full set for 100 quid for his leon...then wrote it off hitting someones behind because they were turning off and he didnt see till the last minute, he was sure if he was on his older tyres he could have braked and possibly swerved to miss... 2 lessons...concentration, and dont be a cheapskate.
  9. true, but if u apply the power smoothly insted of dropping it down you really shouldnt find the back coming round. although as said tyres make a huge diffrence, tyres are a massive false economy....cheap as chips...good luck stopping in the wet in an emergency.
  10. if u drive alot smoother you wont have any issues, i drive mine like ive stolen it and only get the back end round when i want it to.
  11. hey guys just putting the idea out there for any interest in a meet, probably august time. in the midlands area? mainly because its kinda central. i read that meets don't really happen all that often, but why not sort some? they are always a good laugh and its nice to get to know people properly. i've been the meets and events organiser for 4 clubs now, so keen to do all of the organisation/bookings. just add your name to the list if you fancy it. 1. jfatboy (jamie) 2. gsdude (George) 3. 12. aeronautical engineers apparently don't crash alot, and parking the car under armed guard sees the insurance quotes nice n low :) along with the area its insured, and i'm a winner
  13. luckily i have a few things up my sleeve to ensure they are suprisingly low ;)
  14. personally i dont think these look as good as they seem, if it was me i would go with alphards.
  15. i have searched...maybe not hard enough, but for the honda scene places like funky power were really good for tuning parts, and there was an online parts catalog for replacement honda parts. just wondering what are the better places to look. cheers
  16. cheers for the replies, but ive had coileys before, coileys are designed for track fast road? all the ones ive owned have been incredibly hard riding, i cant see how seeting meister r's to soft would replicate oem road comfort? unless ive just not experienced it? As above, I would highly recommend the MeisterR Coilovers. They are specifically designed for the IS200/IS300 to retain the factory ride comfort by running slightly lighter springs than most coilies, but have 36 (I think) levels of damping adjustment. Everything from super soft to rock hard so you can make them as comfy or sporty as you like. Really can't beat them for the IS200, me and 2 guys from another forum both have them and they are great. does this club do meets? because i may come along to one and go for a ride in a car with them fitted before i decide :)
  17. not after slam though, just after a minimal arch gap, from seeing that lads on 40mm theres still a huge arch gap, and i'm not buying coileys ran coileys on all my hondas, no way are they comfy. so ill leave it as it is.
  18. hey been browsing for a while thought i would poke my head out and say hello. few of my previous cars the beamer, first car at 19, not bad eh. then came the crx, then the civic, this died! and now i have my lexus...i'll upload a couple of pics later.
  19. hmm well after reading that i'm not going to bother, wouldnt call that 'low'and i don't want coileys. i also don't want to go through loads of tyres, standard its staying. cheers for that link mate.
  20. cheers for the replies, but ive had coileys before, coileys are designed for track fast road? all the ones ive owned have been incredibly hard riding, i cant see how seeting meister r's to soft would replicate oem road comfort? unless ive just not experienced it?
  21. new here...firstly hello. im jamie from mostly all over! picked up my is200 last week, came from the honda scene, built 4 of them and got bored of the unreliablility, so went for as comfy vip type. my question is i want my car lower, but i dont want to sacrifice the ride quality, ive purchased a few diffrent spring types over the years, most increase stiffness, dont really want that too much. any help is appreciated really.
