  1. Chris that looks messy. Shame you're having doubts about the Lexus. Have you gone to a Lexus dealership before? Is there a fixed price on having a diagnostic test done?
  2. Very easy to get. Got mine from the local hardware shop for £2.50 and very easy to put in. My code was CR1616 but double check with yours.
  3. Hey Stuart, I think the problems are mechanical. I've emailed wim with my problems so just waiting for a response back from them to see if they can fix it. Where is this meet taking place? Need to check if I'm working that day as well!
  4. How much did all this set you back panya? Worth a shot to do it myself after this thread of inspiration :D
  5. Ah good to know the chesham branch is round the corner from me, will have to book it in at some point...
  6. Mine used to be so good but I think my car is having problemss... :( My commute used to be 70 miles at 4 days a week to 40 miles at 5 times a week. Its helped but its got underlying issues...trying to find another mechanic...
  7. Wow I really like that. Dumb question but are the indicator lights still visible enough to see?
  8. Very nice! Mine is gunmetal as well :)
  9. Great, thanks for that Ian! Will look into that after payday :s Yeah thanks Chris, was just saying I've been a member for a while, just never needed to post because of all the info from previous posts....guess I didn't want to be a lurker anymore lol :D
  10. Ian do you know if they seize up every few months or so because I'm sure he greased something up a while back and yeah it was fine after that. My knowledge on this isn't so great, I just tend to Google it all!
  11. Thanks IanS200! Will deffo try as soon as I can....just never get round to it. Oops! Panya thanks, I had my disks and pads replaced because of the car shuddering a while back but its started up again. mechanic said it might be warped but I think after reading some posts on here, its the calipers.
  12. Hi everyone! I've had an account on here for a while but this is my first post. Every time I come on here it inspires me to do the odd mod here and there....! I've had my (grey) Lexus over a year and I've clocked up nearly 20k miles. In that time I've had the alloys refurbished (gunmetal) and had lots of minor scratches sprayed over. I've managed to change the audio system in a previous car from cassette to CD via YouTube so I think if I can do that, I can change a few lightbulbs right?? :P This website is great because it answers of all my questions! On my wish list I want to change the lighting - interior and exterior and get the windows tinted. But I think my next job is to get my calipers refurbished and pay road tax...euchh!! Any advice or offers to actually do my wish list will be much appreciated! Ha! Thanks for reading guys!
  13. My back screen takes a while to de mist as well. As long as the side mirrors are clear its fine. But for some reason I'm having to keep my air con on all the time to de mist compared to last year when I never used it in the colder months.
  14. Mine is also vibrating very badly when I brake and also when I drive sometimes so I thought the tracking needed doing because it was ever since I had the alloys refurbished but turns out it was the front brake pads and disks. Got a quote of £355 but shopped around and I got it down to £170.
