Thanks guys. Went to a wedding today and parked under a tree and you know what was all over my windscreen....damn birds!! Tempted to buy some special doodoo wipes for anymore mishaps, especially now she's all shiny! Waxing it was hard work, are there any decent buffing cloths or pads to use to buff it on? And can I use the same for polish? Oh and I tried the toothpaste trick on the headlights and they did take most of the yellow stain away! Lol Lexus loon, I think that will be the near enough the last thing I might want to change about it...I do like leather seats but then I think I'd want heated seats to go with it....its all or nothing! Haha!

So I spent 5 hours at the mechanics this morning for him to work out the cause of the juddering and fixed it £350 later....ouchie! And then I spent 3 hours cleaning her seeing as I haven't done it properly. So I shampooed her, clayed her and then waxed her. Spring cleaned the inside as well smelling fresh! :D So the next time I wash her, can I just polish after the wash? So here are some photos to finally show her!

Hi all, So I'm looking for a decent, reliable but not a break-the-bank mechanic (if that exists) in Hertfordshire more specifically in and around Hemel Hempstead. I'm willing to go to the next town up as well. I can't afford to do trial and error and would rather go by on word of mouth. Much appreciated :)

All I've ever done is just wash and dry the car. I've never polished or waxed the car since I bought it just over a year ago so thought I better get round to it at some point! Lol

Can I just rinse it with water after clay or do I have to shampoo it again...can you tell I don't like washing my car lol

After claying the the car, should you wash the car again or can you go straight to polish and wax?

Sorry to hear the constant problems Chris! My mechanic doesn't have a clue what is causing the wobble, but I have a feeling is the calipers sticking. I didn't want to say anything to him because I didn't want to undermine the guy. It is so hard finding a decent and reasonably priced mechanic in my area. :(

Chris, it sure is a great car. Have always wanted a Lexus as a teen and finally after a corolla, fiesta, yaris (in that order) I now have one! Its good to see you now have hope! :D How much did they charge to replace the front 2 calipers because I think that's the issue with mine. Unfortunately I'm based in herts so my closest dealership is in Hatfield..:S
