    So .. Tuesday I'm taking my 07 220d in for a new engine to be fitted ... Many thanks to Lexus Milton Keynes Was just wondering if it's exactly the same or been modified ... As in will the head gasket eventually go on that as well Any idea peeps

    Yes I had 4 Lexus stamps and 2 non Lexus stamps ... It's the way they told me as well though ... Just .. oh you need a new engine by the way ... Will supply and fit it for you free of charge ... Is next week ok for you lol :-)

    Nope I bought the car from a small dealer in London ... I decided only last week to take out the Lexus extended warranty for 2 years as peace of mind on the turbo and other pricey parts But the engine ... I was told was within the 7 years and 110k mileage :-)

    Suspected head gasket gone . . So I booked it in for the 70k service ... Was told.... You need a new engine sir as the head gasket it on its way out but ... Lexus will fit a new one for you free of charge :-D they said they'll need it for 5 days but I get a free loan car :-D ... Also said my rear calipers are seized and that Lexus will pay for them also RESULT :-)

    Is it easy to change ?... and a rough idea on location if possible Cheeeeers

    Released some air and now noticed the heaters run cold more often than warm ... So will replace the thermostat next

    that did cross my mind tbh but it seems to be getting more and more being pushed out will try and see tomorrow if its an air lock

    think i've got this problem now :( ... 70k service booked for the 2nd april so will ask them to check (coolant being forced out the reservior daily) ... service book is stamped with 4 lexus and 2 non lexus garage stamps fingers crossed as they say

    well i'll find out how honorable the 7 year 110k head gasket replacement is :S got a fully stamped service book ... hope that helps lol

    2007 220d ..... opened the bonnet and pink coolant splashed all over :( topped it up but keeps doing it Cars booked into Lexus Milton Keynes on the 2nd April for 70k service i await the news of .... Its your head gasket thats gone sir :( i suppose its not something simple lol

    Just been told by Lexus mk that lower glide / slide pin for vented disc type caliper is not available ... Only the whole caliper ffs .. that's pretty crap tbh

    I need the rear caliper glide/slide pins for an 07 220d vented rear disc type ... The lower ones that sit in the caliper . Not the pad retaining pins .. Bloody seized and local lexus parts is closed on sat Anyone here work at Lexus ?

    everywhere i look they list solid rear discs for my 2007 se 220d but i have vented on the rear ,,, has mine been upgraded at some point ?

    Hi guys ... Can you get a new caliper retaining spring for the rear caliper anywhere online or is it a new caliper job :s

    oh and you do need to clean the egr valve, every 6k miles or so I've read .. easy to do ... I did it the first week and it does increase the mpg :D

    I've had mine for 7 weeks and love it ... 07 with 66k ... dont find the gear box lumpy like some moan about ... mpg could be better but I'm still saving £15 a week and I put in shell super diesel ... where as my last car was cheapo unleaded yes 6 th gear is a bit un useable at 70 though I've used it on long flat motor ways hth matey
