I was putting my LOC stickers in this afternoon. Unlocked car and sat in the back, doors closed. Suddenly the car locks itself and the alarm goes off!?! I unlock with key fob and calm my heart down when it happens again.
I get out and lock the car and haven't been back in, but the alarm hasn't gone off again since. Must be about 5 hours since. Hoping it's not a problem and just being a bit weird because of the amount of snow on the car at the time.
if you just unlocked and jumped in back didnt switch ig etc it will relock and reset and then go off if your in it iam always doing it

servo flaps check that and possibly one has not opened just stuck

you can buy a paint or a kit which includes a cleaner primer and colour of your choice.
Go to a specialist with regards to the paint etc as many of the cheaper products will peel off in time normally a shortime
The higher priced products through the correct suppliers stay on and last many years so offsets the extra costs that way so you have no need to reapply paint every few months

rust on windscreen top edges are they approx in the same place and of similar size ??? i hazard a guess they possible are
Check the screen details see if its been replaced this is the point we used to start the wire for screen take outs depending on if there were 2 of you or 1 caused any paint cuts which then in time become blisters of rust and so on we always used a primer if it occured in black to protect and cover the paint cuts to prevent rusting.
Some people had it but never used it

Well that's what their saying. Glad I don't live there anymore
but some of us do BOO HOO
Here we go again we dont need it its of no use or value and yet it costs £££££ in lost wages and uses up resources we dont need to waste and should be used for more worthwhile daily uses What a waste of time

Battery and charge circuit check first and then go from there
Do you load it all after start up eg lights on rear window blower etc then this happens or does it do it without loading up?
-
gearbox works fine as far as i can tell.
I only just learned that you dont slip into neutral when rolling up to lights and started to worry I'd caused damage.
might ask mechanic for a quick look as he's a friend's dad.
first time i ever known anyone to do that in an auto it is as it says auto point and go it does it all nice for you i love the autos although the 200 is a manual change of which i have not driven for 10 years autos all the way
but manuals are fun
-
allows gearsstick movement when vehicle is not running or brake presssed
eg if you broke down and wanted to move to neutral for recvery onto a tower or if you wanted to puch it to a safe place but vehcile non start
-
mercs also like a set of bulbs done at the same time not just 1

as you have just noticed it (peobably been there all the time its part of the operating)and is not casuing any issues i take it the g/box selection is fine no problems tip is working etc..
If so forget about it for now and drive it to see if anything changes over the next few weeks eg the click sound and drive of the vehicle you will find nothing will change and it will be driving ok still

You must have gotten an out of balance Flywheel, It shouldnt do that.
I know that we actually put single mass flywheels on cars with Dual mass stock. We do it because people are complaining of clutch judder. We do this on a few Toyota models and that is of the advice of Toyota.
no imbalance just a terrible problem with solids against dual mass change over
toyota issues were fixed at many points judder etc but we found that changing clutch makes helped eg euro spec back to jap spec products made 75% of problems go away and that was over the last 30 years i been doing this.....................

what way doi you mean (does not work ?)
-
mercs do this also
cleaned and chemical specialists involved with clean outs etc etc etc and in the end they stop will not start and error 1 is up non start
what we have found on them now is the dpf is u/s and new ones fitted the clean outs get 95% but the finest powder dust becomes held suspended when cleaning out and them form crystals again and so on and build up is back
we fit new with valve and then its all sorted and done with and beleave me we have this so much as the old saying I would like a £1 for the amount thats been done

We all had a little fun or parked up whichever is best for each of us.
Thinking how daft some things are main roads A and most B if a part of a route within a gritting plan is done no problem.
But if we live off these routes anymore than a few yards we are stuffed
Mile away and down 2 nice hils thats it until it clears :megaangry:
Why do they not do a round trip around inner main roads not over doing it just the main arterys within our streets and we can all then sort out minor snow moving eg off our driveways or even within the street we live so we can then get onto the main artery road for our own areas we would all be happy then not stuck in because we cannot move for 4inch of snow when the b road 1/2mile away is clear and we could be out or easy to work etc
That not annoying or what....... :megaangry:
