  1. Had this several times on cars and commercials you say checked bulbs do you mean actual check bulb in hand or visual as in lights on etc

This fault i have seen show for dim bulbs-bright bulbs- even cheap bulbs?

Also recheck the new bulb change it with another its easy to have a fault with a new bulb also and o/e fault stays there done it myself and spent hours looking something that was caused by a new part :whistling:

  2. Hello, welcome to the LOC and a Happy New Year.

Normally a good quality one will be fine, your vehicle handbook will recommend the recommended viscosity and type.

I tend to use Castrol Magnatec Fully Sythetic 5W-30 often on offer at Halfords and stick to OEM Toyota filters.

asda got a good deal on Castrol mag also at moment must have :whistling: i bought some and i like to be shall we say be careful with the cash LOL

O/E filters all the way as they not that expensive really (i only buy genuine always have ) and a engine that goes bang is :innocent: so

    expensive stick with o/e

just to add regarding oils Transmission oils also stick with good quality AL4 And AL5 types for them makes a big diff when g/box oil changes are done to selection also

  3. 260156652777 Item number: sparkplugs x 6 check the price good i thought

try these off the bay one of the best prices on there

many problems caused by plugs other than ngk/denso used be one of our main issues with missfires rough running starting etc

Customer or a mate :driving: would fit a set of their own plugs then come in with poor running missing etc and the first thing i had the techs do was plugs out what are they etc and as usual in 99% of the time plugs

so better the beast you know as they say

  4. Have 2 keys with car the usual valet key and the std key opens all doors from remote and closes.

    What should it do ??

    Any ideas??

    why it does nought

    cheers CC

  5. disconnect the siren no noise then but still alrm works

it will reset then after false alarms if it does go off at anytime immob still works just no noise....if neighbours are a worry if it does have an issue

Also siren plug wetness and corrosion this area was also a popular fix on the tvss and scorpion systems under warranty also many had a shall we call it a special sleev fitted to stop water entering plug also as a mod ( did it work well no) just a simple repostion is what was done

Most popular time found for false alarms is usually just as day breaks depending on time of year but 4-5.00am is a good one

temp change inside plastic expansion ocurs within the trim and false alrms if interior sensor is high set

also with glass roof vehicles this is more so in sunshine

false alrams in wind also along with electrical intereference from outside eg turbine wifi all them have a bad effect on the alarms internal sensors microwave or other

spent many an hour adjusting sensors and shock sensors etc

funny not for the neighbours well depends how far they are away from the car at the time

  6. OK

As you had it a short time has it ever worked i take it has not?

As for fuse relay etc its clicking gives the sign of power up on a basic level

had in the past through lack of use not only on lexus but toyota range also see this often over past 20year generally with cartridge roof system eg all in a box the motor gear rusts and jams in between cables easy way to see remove motor from the mounting points within the roof.

Gives it away when gear is rusted and teeth are smooth.

  7. checked this iam way higher than the std spec it like its been given uprated springs for towing for example but never had bar on

Handling is ok but a feeling of loose rear comes to mind not a tight gripper when cornering wanted to find out about this as 4 wheel alignment and a set of toyo T1R are waiting to be fitted so not doing that until this odd high rear is sorted nothing shows as it all looks std apart from taking struts off to look see as they say

will strip it on next weekend to check it over

tyres and 4 wheel align can wait till this is sorted

also anyone know what would a good set of shocks/springs be to fit for std :shifty: road use with a good road holding be if i end up having to change shocks anyway

    thanks
