Have anyone had luck with welding the flywheel together?
changing to a fixed solid flywheel will shake so badly ( i know i did this to a certain model vehicle as there is kit and never again there is no control) my leg was shaking so much trying to balance and control clutch on short stops and the vibration would shake the gearbox to bit as it did on this vehicle

mine does it on cold days and after a few miles depends on temp its fine other times it randomly gets upset if i ride it at the lights but it doesnt hurt on the odd occasion

Just to ask does it sound like an old kettle whistle as it boils it gets more high pitched ?
also does it have a peak does it stop at a certain point or keeps getting louder harder you drive it?
have you look at any pipes under bonnet a split usally shows after x amount of pressure builds (whistles also)

i run a/c all year when ever car runs it does not a warmy type i prefer -5 nice
oit keeps thing at a good all round temp and also as above controls a lot of the interior moisture
eg wet coats umbrellas even wet feet on carpets all cause steamy windows as todays cars are so tight sealed as they should be older cars never had problems they always had some form of air flow from points they should not have LOL

Thanks for replys so far..
i looked at it for a variety of reason toys sorry spec being one with all the equipment bigger wheels etc electric this and that toys basically
The body is black and perfect interior mint as would expect on dealer forecourt just what i want BUT
IT looks so plain (not plain boring but no fancy pieces and shiny bits)does not show out as much as i would expect
spec is what is swinging it for me but looking at it more so with BHP and other parts of spec etc could be a family car one minute and a beast the next
????? maybe

Hiya shabz23, just wondering if you took a photo of the pothole and the resulting damage. i have heard of people claiming successfully against the council for this sort of thing. Would be worth a go if you are able to prove that it was definitely the pot hole that caused the damage. Might get you a contribution (or more) towards a replacement wheel.Hi, i have got a mk1 gs300 sport with the 10" deep on the back but need a wheel for the front. I hit a pit hole and cracked the rim beyound repair.
Does anyone have a spare wheel for sale with 2 centre caps.
Thanx.
I agree. If it was a public highway then you have a case. After all what do we pay road tax for??
also the alignment will be out if its thats bad a hole to damage the wheel adjustment required also
pics are a must it will be filled in otherwise before you know it

struggle as in around 10 seconds before it actually fires up but soemtimes it just winds over and needs to be attempted up to 2 times more before it actually fires up.
once it starts after struggle it normally fires up but sounds weak as if its reluctant to fire up but thats intermittent
after that the car runs and drives fine with no misfire ive noticed.
when it starts normal it seems to have a bit of delay before it fires but nothing too major
The sparkplugs are NGK platinum
Should be iridium as i posted question regarding plugs
plugs cause so many issues with these vehicles
goes for toyota range in general
Although my old corolla AE86 run plats as part of its engine mods etc at the time (1990)due to heat range required for all to work
-
do you mean struggle to start as in wind over not firing at all?
How does it sound when it starts up after struggling?
How long do you crank it for eg 5secs,20secs?
Does it do anything at all try to fire while cranking but not start?
does it cough splutter missfire when running,
when it turns over is it turning fast as normal?
SPARKPLUGS are they genuine DENSO or NGK??? as all sorts of issues if plugs are not to std????

Has the vehcile a full lexus history so far in life? (i stay with dealers then)but if not and want to use independents
Many good independent repairers out there but use the genuine parts at least and oils of correct grades keeps all nice and neat for re-sale and service book stamps
full service to me is all replacable service parts changed eg
filters all plugs oils engine, transmissions diff, pollen filter and wiper blades brakes checked cleaned and adjusted headlight aim checked and adjusted if required,
check brakes on rolling road brake test of system and print out.
Mechanical report of vehicle in all areas and advise on future repairs.
Valet and hoover out hand back to customer

The valve is removed from the pipe and then from the car once few minor things out of way ~?
What makes you think a problem is showing with it?
As its a breather valve with spring and ball entry system part of a larger system postive crankcase vent system which has other components within it
Any info on reason you want to remove it ?

I've actually found the the same ecu now and his sending the whole steering colomn Aswell, he said it's easier then takin the ignition barrel out,
So I've got coming:
ECU 53200
Steering colomn (ignition barrel and 3 keys)
All for £100
The 53031 ecu lock kit I've got now came with a theft warning box do I need that to, or just the ecu and key?
did your old system have this ? does the system you bought have it available ?
as the newer 53031 ecu is crossing over to 03 plated vehicles onwards
-
nice car clean welcome to LOC
my beast is not clean today after the work it had to do yesterday never been through so many muddy roads and places
(well it has to earn its keep)
-
the one ecu is a newr version of the other 03 on 53031 fitted
we only ever fitted ecu and ignition barrel and key set all was fine then door locks were done if requested but most of the time ig and ecu with key
so the ecu you have should work ok as we would have customer supplied and buy new etc
reset and all ok

also stops from LPressure in system and many othe factors but leaks is main cause due to lack of use
Shaft seal leaks is a good one as the rubber allows gas past from lack use
did they say seized as in solid or internal fault such as broken up inside compressor?
As system will be contaminated with the compressors component breakge issue this makes for a oily paste that is not good at all

squeezed 405 miles light to light but thats on a gentle foot crusie etc
