  1. As it happens most people only change the exhausts when the original one perishes, a lexus one is far more expensive than a normal a custom stainless, and as for noise you get what you get which is what I have and I quite like it, although some people like to either quite it or go for full on supercar sounds,it's there choice. But the lexus cost is ridiculous so it's a no brainer,
  2. Here in leeds lexus and Toyota are at the same place where I ordered it from the parts counter, I'm trying to keep mine as original as possible, I've put new wheels on mine but saved the original ones in case I sell ever!.so I always stick to main dealers.
  3. I think there is another fuse box in the passenger footwell as well, I sent a message to remember, but my car isn't here at the moment to check.
  4. All fuses, in boot, bonnet and both footwells, have you tried the disconnected battery trick as well, maybe plug a diagnostic tool in and see if it comes up with anything, it will be something simple I'm sure.
  5. I take it you have rain drops on the seat, I once had this, I removed the internal panels and got the wife to pour water on the roof and saw where it came in and filled the hole with black mastic,if you open the roof and stop it half way you can check for any splits in the rubber,a new seal from lexus was about 167 if I remember right, but it was a 3 day wait, and it took me a morning to do the change over,it was fairly tricky to do though, if you opt for a new one, fit it in place and do the bolts before removing the tape cover.
  6. The boot is empty as I had it stripped when I altered the boot height,I'll have a look at the fuse size tomorrow, thanks for all your help as always.
  7. I can't see it being a solar panel as I would have definitely spotted it by now, I polish this car every fortnight, as for a second battery it would have to be small in order to hide it.you can see I keep it clean.
  8. Here is a pic of the cable it has a fuse in the little box, once I reconnected it my battery holds it's charge now, does anyone know what it is please.
  9. As I said on a previous post there's a wire attached to my positive terminal on my battery, it came off and the battery kept going flat after two days,I reconnected it and now problem since, I'm not mechanic so I don't know what it does but it works at keeping the battery alive.so does any one know what it is, it would help alot of people.
  10. I absolutely hate the aerial so I disconnected it like you, if I ever want it back in will have to buy a new one as I damaged the old one, however it works fine without it,but fixing my boot lid I found the motor when I stripped the boot linning, it's easier than it looks,if you get stuck put a note on hear and I can help on this one.john
  11. Just do the list first and then go from there, also you know you can type one of the issues in the search bar and see if it's already been on and a solution found, good luck.
  12. Same engine, same build quality, but one can carry 5 in comfort and one can carry 2, but with wind in their hair.also similar running costs, but the sc won't go below 6k but the ls will keep dropping in value. Everyone loves the sc but be careful on colour I personally don't like black, red and silver on this car,I also know most people prefer the walnut compared to the yellow maple, so think of that when your ready to sell next time. But it's your car your choice, which ever you choose enjoy it.
  13. To be honest cost doesn't bother me for the mileage that I do in the sc, as I'm normally in diesel cars and vans.
  14. I shall have a look tomorrow, and post a pic of it.but whatever it is it stops the battery going flat.
  15. Hi, I build petrol stations and my clients /owners keep telling me to use the high octane fuel but I have always believed it's only good for cars with turbos, I only use shell standard fuel at the moment with an occasional BP thrown in, can anyone tell me what if any difference it would make to change, your views will be greatly appreciated, thanks john.
