  1. Alas no, it was done by our company, apparently they told us all the scheme was changing to 40 or 48 months for the cars, I must have missed the notice. I guess I should be thankful I do a lot of miles and was only put on 40 months, 48 months and I would have been a quivering wreck :yack:
  2. I think my lease company held onto my order because my current lease is up 18th June, would have preferred them to get the dates spot on for the swap waiting this long, but I'm more annoyed my current car was put on 40 month contract without me knowing. All our cars have always been 36 months so I was primed for early March as I had my demo in October, only to be told by our administrator that I'm 4 months early. I'm not known for my patience LOL
  3. Ordered mid Feb, just been told my In stock date is 30th June !! Then another 7 days-ish before I can get it. Mine is just a solid paint SE with Parking Sensors and the Free Navigation offer.
  4. You can download if from the lexus EU Portal. It's quite large though (over 100mb) https://customerportal.lexus-europe.com/login/index.html
  5. Top Gear is brilliant, it's worth the licence fee alone. It's not been a serious show for a decade though. Fifth Gear I can watch if it is on but I don't go out my way for it. If I want a serious review I tend to head for the mags, but there are a few on youtube from the likes of Carbuyer and Autoexpress.
  6. Non Nav IS's have the mirrorlink option, which is a collective driven by Sony I think, all devices below, but it is a similar system to CarPlay. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/support-info.pl?info_id=1145 There is an video of it working on youtube but it is quite minimal, it only allows a map product, I think in the android phones it was only google maps, and you can't use your car music system while it is running mirrorlink
  7. Right this is not funny, I've seen 2 IS300h's in 2 days now. ..... Off to ring the lease company to cancel my order .......
  8. Shock Horror, saw my first IS 300H on the road yesterday !! M62 past Leeds if it was any of you guys? Had a bike rack on roof but no bikes. I'd say a platinum sort of colour. Looked good anyway, I'm a month in from order and still no date for mine.
  9. I feel for you, some spiteful ar$e decided to put crosses on all my doors a few weeks after getting a 3 series BMW a few years ago. It's just sickening when it's malicious like that.
  10. Likewise I use TomTom on my iPhone and was planning on using one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00D901B4W/ref=oh_details_o09_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's a Kenu - Airframe mount for the vents. I had it in time for my demo and it was quite good. I was planning on running the cable down the side of the mouse back to the USB / 12V. I only briefly tested it though as it arrived the day my demo was picked up, so I didn't go very far with it, but very minimal design. I've since got a free SatNav with my order but I'll still keep the TomTom handy because I find the traffic unbeatable.
  11. I know what you mean, my HR Director rang me to double check I really wanted this car, he "thought" it would cost me too much in fuel.
  12. I had a satnav demo and was looking for this option but it just was not there? An earlier post in this forum confirms this too. It's not as brilliant as it sounds anyway because the mirrorlink takes over the screen at the expense of everything else (entertainment etc). Somebody did a post on Youtube showing it if you search for it.
  13. Hi Steve, exactly the same position here, company car driver 35k a year. I've done the "anal" sums too, and also get the 24p a mile gov rate. I'm currently driving a Volvo V50 99g slug which while excellent for tax is just so darn DULLLLLLLLLLLLLL. In my miraid of spreadsheets bottom line for me is that over 40mpg and I will pay less than I currently do for the Volvo, bizarrely the Volvo wasn't particularily cheap. The only think that will scupper this plan is when our idiotic government realise this is a tax busting car and introduce a Hybrid rate like there is for LPG vehicles. However this is just me being pessimistic, but I'm sure it will likely happen at some point. I've an SE on order though, I could have gone for the Lux but there wasn't much with it that justified the extra. Plus the SE is a little better on the emmisions.
  14. I've got an SE on order, but the only extras available are satnav and front rear parking sensors which I have ordered. As you know the satnav is free at the moment. I've still a few months to wait for mine though, but at least I've had confirmation it is on order :hocus-pokus:
  15. Alas we don't get a choice, but I've ordered mine with the free offer in place.
  16. If buying private then yes maybe, you struggle to get any negotiation with fleet sales, they know it is not your money.
  17. I'm a little anal with my mpg, have been since giving up my fuel card almost 10 years ago now. I ran numbers for 40mpg, 45mpg and 50 mpg against my actual mileage over the past 3 years. Sad I know but it makes interesting reading. At worse case 40mpg I will be paying the same overall (Tax + Fuel Claimed) as I am now for my 1.6 DrivE Volvo. Anything better than 40mpg and the car costs me less, so 50+ and it is a proper bargain. Obviously when HMRC notice this I fully expect a Hybrid Company Car Rate like there currently is for LPG, but likewise I'll make hay while the sun shines. Enjoy your demo though, I had mine for 5 days and managed over 500 miles, mainly motorway and I averaged 51.4mpg in that time. PS. Don't forget any SE or Luxury fleet orders before 31st March get a free SatNav upgrade (neutral on the P11D too)
  18. I see it as a company car buster. 12% tax, 50+ mpg with 24p per mile claim for business mileage. Will be cheaper to run than a 1.6 Ford Focus on our company car scheme.
  19. I'm lazy, it's a company car, and our local Polish wash only charges 3 quid. I'm certainly not getting my hands dirty for £3. They do a good job too. I'm up and down the motorway too much to even worry about a clean car anyway.
  20. Absolutely, although strangely the wife again loved the 220d compared to the Honda CR-V I was driving at the time. Yes, if I opted out and got the car myself I'd get those rates, but I do around 35k a year so I'd rather take the hassle out of running the car myself. I gave up my fuel card a number of years ago because it just wasn't worth it. I now just claim for my business miles and this is the perfect car for that.
  21. Hopefully 12 weeks from company placing the order, told by lease company 10-12 weeks. New entrant, my boss had the old IS 220d and used to swap when I had a 4x4 but I had a demo version for 5 days and was frankly amazed at the 51mpg my average showed over those days. I was wondering that about the P11D but it's a headline point on the flier I got from Toyota Fleet. Also the quote from the Lease Company has the SE Navigation model but the list price is the basic SE, and the HDD Sat Nav is shown as a 0 price option. I guess they can't tax you on something that is free? I guess it's just like the SE with satnav as an extra that cost £0? Can't wait, especially when I can claim 24p a mile when I'm not using any fuel
  22. Just placing my order for my company car and I'm getting a complimentary SatNav on my SE. Also applies to Luxury model too. Not sure if it is also for retail sales or just fleet but worth mentioning. For Company Car drivers too it's P11D neutral too so you don't even have to pay any tax against the value. I'm just going for the SE with parking sensors and solid black. It's well over my car scale but what the hell :-) Mrs BB loved the demo so happy to chip in and it's still going to cost next to nothing for an amazing car.
  23. Just coming to the end of a 5 day demo of the SE (all I'll be able to scrape to) and current mpg is 51.8 !! That is frankly amazing although it has been mostly motorway. A couple of 15 min hold ups which turned out great because the mpg goes up. Mostly in ECO mode but there is still plenty of grunt when you need it. To be honest I'm gobsmacked it is that good. I was hoping for around 40 mpg but I've not even tried hard and got 50 so I'm more than happy and will be ordering for a March 1st delivery.
  24. Thanks, while not a showstopper that is a little disappointing. Was hoping to avoid using a holder and certainly not paying the premium for in-built NAV.
  25. NAV models do not have the mirrorlink option I'm afraid. Also iphones will not work because they are not part of the mirrorlink consortium. Search this link for all mirrorlink compatible phones (it's the servers you want) https://cert.mirrorlink.com/ProductListing/ I currently have a fleet demo IS300h and wanted to try the mirrorlink before making my final decision only to find most demos come with NAVs, LOL. Ah well, I've seen the video of it working. Those with it working, can you still use an ipod in the 2nd USB socket at the same time, or is it Mirrorlink and nothing else? Likewise can you listen to the radio while mirrorlink is running? I have my demo until Tuesday so it's going to be a fun weekend
