Are you a secret ISF wheels collector with 2 extra sets 😀

Well you know when you really think you need something....🤣 One set for track days one set for winter........and the best set for summer blasts. 😷 The fact I haven't been further than Tesco's in 6 months brings forward a different plan.😭

  2. All very interesting to conclude all that glitters is not gold. I would expect that while the original post had pagid disks with brembo stamped on them they may well be different to ones marketed as brembo for more ££.  In the same way I was lead to believe the brembo after market ones are different (a lesser spec) than the OEM Lexus / brembo ones. And they may all come from the same factory! Truth of fiction? Who knows?

  3. @B1 RMA (car has only done 2000 odd miles since the last service).

I'm in similar territory with only 1000 miles since service in October and 3000 since last MOT which is due now.  As a second car I'm simply not using the her enough which is a shame so thinking about selling.

Have to agree on the Warrenty point though on cost and longevity. Mine runs to March 2022 when the car will be 13 years old!   Bless you Lexus. Bless you Lexus too for giving me 3 months extra free due to covid.

Where else can you find such a car still under a great warranty?  Hold on a min....it sounds like a car I should buy not sell🤣

Spare a thought for all the F's on lockdown too. Looking forward to blowing the cobwebs away when this is all over, quite literally.

Cobwebs, shocking.🤪  I cleaned mine at the weekend and needed to turn it round to Hoover the boot.  It took me 20 minutes before I found a safe place for a u turn. 👍 Got home and had to wash again.  There are worse things to be doing on an otherwise uninteresting weekend.

@gb1600e thats my old ISF.. miss it! I has the back bumper section wrapped and added the small fin lip under it along with the rear screen spoiler. Still looks fab.

Ah, that's 2 previous owners being member on here and the car is a credit to both of you.  ( the 3 of us now 🤪 ) I wonder if any more? Your additions and the black badges all improvements that set the back end off just nicely. And yes @F.A. white being the best colour.  Possibly. Maybe. 😎

  6. Agree with @B1 RMA that cash might well become king again as we come out of lockdown. Understandably dealers teaditionally want the profit on the car and the interest and commissions on the finance to make their margin but after lockdown I can only imagine they may be a bit more keen on a cash deal just to create some turnover.

Customer stance would need to be cash or walk away as any sniff you want the car no matter what then you are back into their hands on their terms.

  7. I bought a mint set of the blade design from @NothernDan (thanks Dan) as spares but thay are so nice I haven't dared to put them on the car.  😬  I ended up having my own wheels refurbished instead......and then went and scuffed one of the rears. 😫 so will maybe swap sometime soon.

That said I do like the later design you have but have never seen a set for sale. Can a man have too many spare shiney wheels I wonder 🤔

  8. Yes, my thoughts go to anyone layed off work and all you businessmen as that must be worrying for loads of reasons not least finance on an F car.  I realise I'm lucky in his respect as employed by a big telecoms company, have worked from home for years and my ISF was cash purchased. If I can keep in good health Im hoping to ride his storm with minimal impact. I thought about SORN but didnt as a weekly trip to the supermarket in the ISF may have to be the only fun I get in the near future

  9. I got my IS300 MOTd at the local village garage last week and they still remain open but Lexus Derby shut down yesterday. I guess the local needs the business and the money.

For no real reason other than my OCD I would maintain continuous MOT on my ISF, if safe and possible to do so, rather than it show a gap.

  10. Hi Dave, you may remember a Blue RCF is on my bucket list....🤔..and given you posted you regret selling your ISF to me...🤔 you could do a lot worse than have it back. But I bet yours is too new for me to afford and your old one too old to go back to. 🤔

But just for info what year is your RCF and have you got any pictures.
