  1. Ah right ok but the plate is taller than a standard plate,am I correct in thinking this. The one on my car is anyway. Thanks.Lee.
  2. Here's the links to what i purchased.I hope this helps. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-ALTERNATOR-BELT-AC-POWER-STEERING-BELT-/220463116623?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3354a0314f http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-2-0-TIMING-BELT-KIT-TENSIONER-IDLER-BELT-/300407776690?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ALexus&hash=item45f1b2e5b2 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-BREMBO-DRILLED-GROOVED-BRAKE-DISCS-BREMBO-PADS-/320689375341?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4aaa93886d Thanks.Lee.
  3. Lee where did you get the Gaites kit from? And are they a superior up grade to the lexus genuine parts? Hello there, put a search into e bay I bought mine from a genuine seller on there,I also purchased a set of brembo front discs and pads from the same seller. I'm not saying Gaites is a superior upgrade, what I am saying is most manufactureres they are supplied by Gaites for belts etc.L exus wouldn't make belts themselves they would purchase from a company who already make belts, the only difference would be you would have Lexus or Toyota stamped on there if you got it from a dealer but not if you just went out and bought a Gaites belt from a motor factors if you see what I mean. I'm not saying Gaites supply Lexus either as I don't know who supplies them but Gaites do supply a huge part of car manufacturers throughout the car industry, you won't beat gaites i can assure you of that. Thanks.Lee.
  4. I was wondering was the rear number plates angled on the edges from new? By this I mean is the length of the top is longer than the length of the bottom much like a Rover 75 rear plate if you know what I mean. Can anyone offer any advise or pics perhaps? Thanks.Lee.
  5. I'm thinking of changing my current 18" wheels and tyres and getting a new set. Any suggestions as to what wheels work well and suit the Lexus IS200? I quite like the aero wheels, are these hard to get hold of these days and are they prone to buckling plus are they 8" or 8.5" wide? Any pics from owners with 18" wheels would be great and some advise on what works well and where to look out for some.I Have looked on wheel base website, seen 1 or 2 sets but nothing that really jumped out at me. Any suggestions or pics would be super. Thanks.Lee.
  6. I just realised there's a wheel and tyre section on this site so I'm gonna put a post up there aswell. Thanks.Lee.
  7. Great price that but no idler in the kit,so that would be additional cost, still a great price though. I purchased a Gaites kit a few weeks back for £125.99 that includes ina tensioner and idler, you can't get bertter than Gaites belts, they supply most car manufacturers anyway. I also got the 3 auxillary belts,Gaites again for £28.99. Thanks.Lee.
  8. wow, they look smart. These are the later Lexus wheels, with the aero kit...is that correct? Are they 8" or 8.5" wide and what's the offset on these please? Easy to get hold of a set or not? Are these prone to buckling? Thanks.Lee.
  9. Has anyone got any suggestions as to what wheels work well with the is200 in 18"? What is the usual width and offset for an 18 wheel Lexus fitment? Any suggestions on wheels and possibly post pics up if your car is fitted with 18s just for me to have a peak. Any suggestions/info/pics would be great. Thanks.Lee.
  10. After a few calls today to various tuners for doing a map on my IS200 turbo, Ryan & 2Bar Tuning cannot unlock my HKS F Con V ecu, Thor Racing don't map HKS management, Hyper Sports 7 Racing Ltd. at Wigan went bust in 2009( car went there previously a good few yrs back). Ike & IK Engineering can do the job but is far to busy right now but he recommended Rising Sun Performance at Ropley., Alresford in Hampshire anyone know anything about this company? I beleive they do a lot with Nissan Sylines but have mapped some is200 turbo cars also. The company is now called Bells Auto Services ltd, they've got a dyno dynamics rolling road and have been recommended to me by IK Engineering. Anyone had experience with these in the past good or bad? Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.Lee.
  11. I'm not sure when they moved,my car is 2001.Could you take a pic of your number plates and tax disc holder and r/screen sticker if you still have them fitted to the car, that would be a great help. You could e mail me if you don't want to post up on here or a pm would be fine by me. Many thanks.Lee.

Can somebody take a picture for me and post it up as I am after the original number plates, tax dic and rear screen sticker for the car. Any help would be great. I have spoken to Lexus in Oxford, they have moved to another location withiN the area,so they cannot help me. I've got somebody that will reproduce a set if I have the details I require. Thanks.Lee.

  15. Can you do a pic of it's location please as nobody seems to know or at least nobody is replying to the o rings location? Thanks.Lee.
  16. I managed to track a shorter oil filter down today. Called into my local motor factors today (Unipart), mentioned a Celica filter, they checked one against the other and it's the same thread obviously but shorter as I required. Thanks to Dave (above) for mentioning possibly a celica filter. For anyone who may need a shorter filter due to a sandwich plate being fitted for guages etc,(Turbo'd car) the Unipart filter number is GFE 285, it cost me £2.76, I was very happy with that as you could imagine. Thanks.Lee.
  17. As above,I am trying to find out if my car has an Limited Slip Diff fitted or not? Do all IS200's have this or was it optional? The reason I am asking is I want to replace the diff oil, opie oils asked me has it an LSD,I said I'm not sure at all, hence the question. Thanks.Lee.
  18. That's interesting,I heard the halfauds pink was very good stuff. Thanks.Lee.
  19. How will the pagid pads or original Lexus pads work with an uprated drilled/grooved discs such as Brembo or would it be better to run Brembo pads aswell, mine is a turbo'd car so need a bit extra over the standard brake discs/pads. Any help would be great. Thanks.Lee.
  20. Where is the o ring seal located and anyone got a part number for it as my main dealer didn't know what I am after? Thanks.Lee.
