  1. Sorry for the silly question but hopefully some of you can help me. I am trying to register my 2009 ISF in Ireland and am running into some issues. Namely the V5 that the car was registered on shows it as having 5 seats - but it only has 4 seats / seat belts. I am trying to check with Lexus UK that this is the norm but can any of you let me know if your V5 shows 5 seats ? Thanks for your help, Gavan
  2. Thanks for this. Was wondering how to play DVDS and having no joy. Can't believe it's as simple as putting on a handbrake.... Should have read the manual in more detail. Gavan
  3. Congrats. Sure you will love it. Have mine almost 2 months now and still surprising me with its speed... Enjoy it. Gavan
  4. It is clear. I had it checked out before I even travelled to view. There is also a Lexus stamp in the book as well as two others (one main dealer and one indie). Everyone will take this view and that's why it will sell for little money to a chancer. With a car like this people want to know it has been well cared for. Even if he had done the services himself why not keep the receipts? Makes you instantly think there is something being hidden. The isf is an enthusiasts car so why not come on the forum and defend the car??? Can't answer this one Stu - this was the first place I came when I was interested in buying so would have thought the same but not everyone thinks that way. Gavan
  5. Have to say that I went to look at the White car and met the owner. The limited service history was ultimately what put me off as there were only stamps in the book and no service invoices etc. Having said that, I found the owner pretty reasonable to deal with and the car was offered to me at significantly below the £17.5k in the trader. I also got a body shop guy that I know to go look at the car for me. There is work to be done to get the car into good nick (which the owner was upfront about) but it was not going to be an unmanageable expense. I was very tempted to take a punt but ultimately I wanted something in better condition and with more documented history with Lexus. Gavan
  6. Damien, based in Dublin alright. Looked at a few this side of the water but couldn't land the right one. Think I saw your car at Cars & Coffee a couple of weeks ago ? Looks great in the silver with the dark wheels. Gavan
  7. Collected the car - and then spent 6 hours driving from Southampton to Holyhead. First impressions are that it is everything I hoped it would be - comfortable, fast (when you want to) and serene when you just want to cruise. All the gadgets to wile away time in traffic jams but they don't get in the way of the driving experience. Many happy hours of getting to know the car ahead......pics to follow. Still have to try the throttle blip Damien - maybe on the way to the NCT. Gavan
  8. Planning to pick up the IS-F soon and wanted to see if there were any items (other than spare keys / service history / manuals etc. ( that should be with the car. Limited toolkit and jack possibly - or is there anything else ? Also, where best can I see the engine number ? Cheers, Gavan
  9. It is the black one alright. Hoping to collect it this week. Fingers crossed all goes well. Cheers, Gavan
  10. Looks like I will be scratching that ISF itch.... Southampton car seems to fit the bill so will hopefully be mine this time next week. Thanks for all the positive comments and insight. (Will probably take the Warranty as well if at all possible based on the comments). Gavan
  11. Looks fantastic in the blue. Congratulations and enjoy... Gavan
  12. I was interested in that car in Southampton. Anyone on here go to see it or any other info ? Thanks, Gavan
  13. Read this on the Evo app and it seemed like a really positive review. Very limited downsides and all the performance you could ever need. Great for current owners but not so much for those of us looking to buy ..... Will have to try harder to find one. Gavan
  14. Cheers for that. Have not been looking long but starting to realise how quickly the good ones go - will have to move a bit quicker than I am used to it seems. Just show how good the cars are I guess. Thanks Gavan
  15. Thanks for the responses guys. I do like the ISF in white but it was primarily that it was a bit closer for me to look at. Will have to bide my time I think .... The red is nice but might be a bit too Q-car for me. Would be interested though to hear what it is like. Cheers Gavan
  16. Hello All. New to the forum but I have an ISF itch to scratch so looking on here for advice and guidance. I have been doing the usual checks on Autotrader and Pistonheads but slim pickings. I was wondering is the white ISF mentioned in this thread is the same as the 2008 currently on sale on Autotrader ? Any guidance appreciated. Thanks Gavan
