  1. Thanks Steve. I will either have to wait for someone to provide a method for the LS430 ( I have tried a few), or swap my car for a LS400
  2. heres an electronic lock switch near your window switches and the manual lock and unlock next to your door pull opener brendan Steve Thanks. That's clear. I'll give it a go. All that happened was a flat battery. I should be disappointed if it requires a visit to a dealer. Cheers Brendan
  3. I am struggling to get the Keyless working. Remote locking and opening is working fine. I have tried a number of methods, but can't recall anyone saying 'manual' locking and opening. I have used the button on the arm rest. Is this what you meant? Cheers Brendan
  4. Hi Steve Did this programme the keyless entry, also? Can you state exactly what you mean by 'MANUAL' in step 4? Cheers Brendan
  5. Here you go Chris A 60 second blast with a jet wash brings them back to looking like new, also.
  6. If only No, I was referring to the mats in a prior post. I should have quoted it.
  7. A 60 second blast with a jet wash brings them back to looking like new, also.
  8. Hi Matt Could you post the second photo, and the link to the YouTube video? Thanks
  9. Neil. Seriously? Since when was the Caravan Club interested in making 'good progress'? They come here with their strange caravans and strange ways, blocking up our roads. It has started all over again for 2017. Our roads are full of Caravan Club members, leaving little room for us SL drivers. I think you are winding me up (haha)
  10. Thanks Mark. The LS is certainly a joy to drive. For me, it is perfect blend of wafting around in comfort, and being able to hurtle down the road when required - leaving many a boy-racer in its dust. Mid-Wales is certainly the place to be wafting, fantastic rolling hills, beautiful rivers and coastline. Locally it is known as the Green Desert, because of the low population density, and it has the lowest crime rate in England and Wales. Also, you are very unlikely to see a police patrol car out of the towns, allowing you to make 'good progress' when required. How's that for a Welsh Tourist Board promotion?
  11. Neil, thanks. I will certainly bear that in mind. I am going to watch Mark's experience with interest, before deciding what to do.
  12. Hi Mark Which Kenwood model are you referring to? Very interested in what you are doing. I would love to bring my LS up to date.
  13. Have you decided which Apple Car Play/Android Auto unit you are putting in?
  14. It is a classic comedy, which has stood up to the test of time. Still funny, even after a number of viewings.
  15. Thanks all. Will implement the sound advice, once I am back home again. Just picked up a Mercedes SL350. Keeping the Lexus, the SL will be just for fun. What a day to collect it, warmest and sunniest day of the year, so far.
  16. Thanks Rudy. I will give it a go on Monday, as we are going away for the weekend. I am hoping that someone will come along who has dealt with this problem, and can advise on how to prevent it happening again. For the moment I can only assume strong glue, and do the other switches while I am at it. Thanks again.
  17. Do I just gently lever it out with a screwdriver? Do I get access from the pop-out panel to the left of this one? Any guidance, much appreciated. Thank you
  18. I pressed this switch, and with a sharp click it recessed behind the wooden panel. So, two questions: How do I get to the back of the panel to put the switch back in to its correct position? Do I presume that I should glue it in to place, while I have the panel open, in order to prevent a recurrence? A supplementary question: has this happened to anybody else? The reason I ask is that if it is not an unusual situation, I will glue all three switches in to place while I am at it. All replies will be much appreciated.
