  1. Yes as easy as that. They hold about 5 1/2 litres and do use a new sump plug washer.
  2. Only £25 ish and come painted from lexus. They just clip in easy.
  3. http://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/lexuscare/service-your-lexus/essential-care-service-plans.aspx Not sure if been posted before but looks a good deal!
  4. £119 :-) http://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/lexuscare/service-your-lexus/essential-care-service-plans.aspx
  5. You can get them repaired for £700ish I had to get mine done. PM me if needed.
  6. You should do a dealer review. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/reviews/c...hp?dealer_id=33
  7. Get the tyres swapped fronts to rears at every service (10k/1 year) and set the pressures at 36psi. Depending on driving styles should last 40-60k. The tyres that come as standard (dunlop/bridgestone) have aprrox 2mm less tread on the edges than on the centre from new!!. I hope this helps.
  8. Yes you will as the beam on uk cars still dips to left.
  9. You change these crank pulleys without removing the radiator from underneath the car. You will have to lock the flywheel to undo the crankshaft bolt. If it has been of before it shouldn't be to difficult.
  10. Changing the oil also helps as the valves start to stick with old oil. Check it and it should look 'blood red' if it is dirty brown get it changed.
  11. Yes it should do........get a quote first THEN tell them about LOC gold discount this way you are not getting ripped!!!! Where are you based and who have you rang for quotes???
  12. Should be aroud £450 - 550 depending where you are and with your LOC GOLD discount. (If you havent got it, get it as this will pay for itself with the 60K service no probs as it gives you 15% discount on parts and labour form lexus dealers.)
  13. Hi, 1) you must have the sub key..i bet it doesn't lock the glove box either. This key only works the drivers door and ignition i think. 2)The boot on these are operated by torsion bars and are adjustable (3 settings on each side)
  14. quite easy to fit.....if you are drilling the bumper make sure your measurements are are accurate as i have seen some real dodgy looking ones fitted on the P***.
  15. They shouldn't charge any more than an extra 1/2 hour at the very most as you can change the water pump without removing the timing belt.
  16. the rear height control sensors can fail on these due to water ingress, this usually makes the rear ride height high and give an unpleasant ride........like sea sickness!!!!!! surely some lexus dealer could sort it out sooner than 4 weeks.....this isn't the customer service lexus pride themselves on..
  17. i agree with colin it is usually the valve clearances that require adjusting...the 4 that wear the most are the one closest to the bulk head. you have to set them cold and they are adjusted using shims which cost around £10 each.
  18. i know of a few rx300 owners who have had the rear main seal replaced. get it sorted whilst still under warranty. will cost you £100's else where.
