Ok thanks for the reply, I notified HMRC online about the company car and then they adjusted my tax code straight away, was pretty painless ( the process not the tax lol ) Cheers Ian

Hi just been reading through your posts, I'm a bit ignorant to this company car lark the Lexus IS my first, I'm a joint company director and the company supplies the car, I have a fuel card used for fuel business miles only, I then put in my own fuel for personal miles and keep a spread sheet detailing private and business miles. Is this ok or do you have to pay for all fuel yourself and claim mileage at 20 p per mile Many thanks Ian

Had mine nearly 4 weeks 1st company car and i went for it cos it wasn't a fortune on tax and it had all the goodies, must say I'm impressed done 1200 miles and I'm very happy, I haven't done a geeky spreadsheet yet though need to do one lol in case the tax man comes round Happy Days Indeed

Good Afternoon, Im 6ft and have the IS 300H Executive the seat does alter and i find the position very comfortable, i recently did 8 hrs drive and it was very comfy.I recently had the Jag XF and although a nice car the Lexus is better, no messing with silly stop start buttons, no clacky diesels in slow moving traffic. The satnav is as good as any others I've used and the car has plenty of performance if you want it, i mainly use it in Eco mode and get 45 - 48 to gallon, if you drive it in Sport mode its fast but MPG suffers, but you can't have both performance and MPG.I ve owned a MB E320Diesel and its as good although the sat nav is better, i would opt for a test drive over a weekend and see what you think, personally i love mine and can't see what i could change it for that would be better value for
