  1. Well done, it's always a gamble being self employed. Presumably you don't sell anything -is it only your time that you can charge out?
  2. No, not spacing like that, however these are only show plates.
  3. Yes, New 04 car is on the left with smoked lenses.
  4. Put the 'Fancy Plates' on.... Just wondered about the spacing - what do you think?
  5. Don't know, Maz. Would imagine they'll be available. They must be available for accident damage so .......
  6. IS200 Smoked Front Fogs Vs Clear ones.......
  7. Wow...makes my 153bhp and 9.5secs look a bit limp :D :D :D
  8. Ooooppps.... Sorry UKPulse - didn't mean to offend anyones sensibilities!!! I did say that the Wife and Daughter remarked thus. I had a look earlier at the front fogs and they don't look that much different, I'll line both cars up next to each other tomorrow and check.
  9. Thanks for kind comments. Y reg goes back on Saturday - new one is on the MY 04 plate. It's a Sport and reading the posts about the new spec for the SE and Sport that will include leather, I'm almost glad that I didn't get leather because last Autumn when I had an IS300 as a loan car for the day, both wife and daughter remarked that the full leather seemed a bit plasticky.
  10. AA In Atlas Amnesty “In a bid to stop drivers getting lost, the AA is having an atlas amnesty. According to its research, 60 per cent of motorists find their way round with maps more than three years out of date - so they are wasting fuel by not using the most direct route. Drivers can go to an AA service centre and trade in their old map for a free 2004 version.” - I’ve got Sat Nav in mine – but it’s always helpful to see an overview of a map. Took in a crumbling map book to local AA Service centre in Halfords yesterday and picked up free AA 2004 map book - for free.
  11. DUNCAN Posted on Mar 1 2004, 08:11 PM Fantastic mate, I bet your well chuffed with that plate ! So, are you coming up to Scotland this Saturday to show it off then ? Thanks for invite to Scotland, however its on 18,000 per year (346 per week) so I count the miles!! Bought plate 1st Nov last year when DVLA started to pre sell 04 plates. Talking number plates has anyone tinkered with a Rover 75 rear yellow plate and made it fully fit on an IS200 boot lid? At a rough guess it would need to be 570mm across the top tapering to 510mm at the bottom and 170mm deep.
  12. It's great!! Having spent last three years with an IS200SE Nav, my new IS200 Sport Navigator delivered today wearing "MY 04 LEX" front and back and it's great - :) :) :) still smiling!
  13. Lexus IS200 No it’s not a BMW 3 series, but for up to 20% less money, depending on the spec, that won’t matter- and who wants a 3 series anyway? In a quarter of a century BMW has advanced from selling German engineering excellence to hawking DIN-standard snobbishness, a brilliantly successful ploy. This increase in accessibility has also diluted its emotional appeal. You can see the danger signs. For the first time, over 850,000 cars were scheduled to be manufactured by BMW in 2003 – so perceived exclusivity takes a hit, no question. Around 75 % of BMW sales in the UK are the 3 series. As far as the IS200 is concerned, you should also consider the extraordinary build quality that is synonymous with the Lexus badge, the lavish equipment levels, and the fact that you won’t spend your life passing nearly identical cars every time you climb aboard. :D :D :D
  14. That looks really good. Re a post of mine last week - do you know if your plate man can do rear plates for IS200 to fill all of the available flat space eg Rover 75 type plates?

    Is That You?

It might have been me....hope the link works..... http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/sho...showtopic/11347 I'm a petrol slag really - always fill up at Tesco 1) Tend to be cheaper 2) Wife gets lots of Tesco points 'nway it's only a std SE - not a patch on yours Maz
  16. :D :D :D :D :D Thats not exactly true - theres a badge that says IS300
  17. Thanks for closer pic - Of course Chris - a compressor badge enhances the of everything :D
  18. So we'll all be be swapping for Ford Focus'eses then? I don't think so.
  19. Thanks for closer pic - that helps - that's just like my current 533mm x 152mm one. As you can see in your pic there's a triangular area to the right hand side of your plate and and long rectangular area at the bottom of your plate that is not covered by yellow plate - thats what I want achieve, the whole available flat surface covered by yellow plate. Having seen Rover 75's with the 'full' plate I just think that the Lex will look better with a plate that fills all of the available flat space I've seen post on here before about Fancy Plates - I think I'll call them and Rover dealer on Monday.
  20. Thanks - I'll ask in Halfords/ Local Lex Dealer I've just measured and in order to fill the space it needs to be (approx) cos its cold and my hands were shaking 570mm across the top tapering to 510mm across the bottom and 170mm high Halfords/ Local Lex Dealer will do oddball / bespoke sizes? The 533mm x 152mm yellow rear plate fits ok but I would like all of the flat area to be covered with yellow - just like the ones you see on Rover 75's.
  21. I've currenty got a 533mm x 152mm yellow rear plate, which is the deep one, rather than the std depth of 112mm. Even this plate doesn't really 'fill' the area that the IS200 has available for a plate. I've seen some Rover 75's with a larger than normal yellow rear plate that 'fits' perfectly the space for a plate. Has anyone managed to get a yellow rear plate to fill the space on a 200 - if so where from? if not - any ideas?
