  1. Just been & pulled the micro sd card & it has the following on it 86271 30A92 this is in my October 2015 F-sport so should be the newest! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  2. Will check mine tomorrow as it is raining hard now! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  3. My map version is showing 02-35-01-(2014-12-1) this in on an October 300h Fsport Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  4. Only had mine 2 weeks & done 320 miles, you win but mine still has that new car smell on opening the door. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  5. Have you clocked up your first 1000 mile yet & do you keep looking back at it after parking it up? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  6. Looks great, think Lexus has come out with some really good colours compared to the opposition. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  7. It was the front of the IS 300H Fsport that moved me from my Jaguar XF over to Lexus. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  8. I have been used to being able to set levels separately & found it useful. Messages have to be selected to be red & can be done at a suitable time so the volume does not need to be as high. For the navigation instructions if you listening to music then it helps (I find ) to have the volume of the navigation up slightly & if you missed it get it repeated & increase the volume as the announcement is being made to a comfortable level. It's just what I have grown used to from 6 years of Jaguar ownership. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  9. Well I had my first proper drive of my new 300h F-Sport & was very pleased with how it felt to drive! Biggest issue that I found was that I could not alter the volume of the sat nav (premium version), I expected to find it in a setting under navigation, but no. Then I thought you would be able to change it when an announcement was being made, but no. Tried turning the radio off tried again but still no change. Returned home later on to lookup in the handbook only to find it cannot be set separately from general announcements. So all spoken announcements have to be set at the level you want the sat nav at. How strange; first car I have aver driven that you cannot change the volume separately, unless I Am missing something? Oh & covered 180 miles in this trip with an average of 45.6mpg which is a big improvement on my previous 3.0L petrol XF which did 34mpg on the same journey. But you could adjust the volume of the sat nav any time an announcement was being made! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  10. Does this forum have another gathering in the Midlands are before the end of this year or have I missed the last one? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  11. At last some sense in this thread !!! There is a lot of mis-information in this thread, particularly about brake fluid. Brake fluid is hygroscopic meaning that unless its sealed in a container(even then it will degrade) then it will absorb moisture from the atmosphere. It has nothing to do with how often you use your brakes. Also i'd love to see somebody replace it all and get air out just via the master cylinder At the end of the day all main dealer servicing is a rip off. The interim service parts and consumables probably cost no more than £40 at dealer cost prices and then they supposedly do a load of checks. If you think those checks are worth another £100 - £200 then please let me know what profession you're in so that I can change career path !!! If you're not interested or can't do servicing yourself (most likely because you want to maintain the warranty) then the best option is to find a good local independent garage, and as Ganzoom says try to build up a relationship with them. Unfortunately they are unlikely to know any of the common failures on a car as rare as a Lexus until they are many years older, a Lexus garage will have the back up of the whole network and Toyota corporate to guide them on things to look out for. However again is that really worth the extra £100 to £200 on top of what they 'have' to do? Back to the OP's point I think the main driver for you will most likely be trying to maintain the warranty so you will need to get a stamp in the book at the right mileage or age. Brake fluid is hygroscopic, but you are totally wrong regarding it going off in a sealed container! It certainly does have its life & contamination affected by its use, the 2 years in an average life based on 24000 miles of use. Not sure what your back ground is but your not from a servicing back ground. If you Don't know about something fully keep quiet!! Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  12. Bluenose1940, I sort of agree with you about the costs being high, I have signed up for a 3 year package on the purchase of mine. But I look at it as an investment which is reflected in reduced depreciation as luxury cars that are less than 5 years old are expected to have full dealer service history. But brake fluid should only be changed on it being contaminated not just because it is 2 or 3 years old. When you use your brakes the fluid is drawn from the reservoir it pulls in air with contaminants & moisture. Then when you release the fluid travels back pushing the air back out. But with hybrids used much less hydraulic braking this transfer should be much less, so I would be very surprised to see brake fluid needing to be changed earlier than 4 or 5 years. It can be tested & monitored as can engine oil, but as with start stop engines the oil can be contaminated quickly as it is not run constantly creating heat which helps to reduce the water carried by the oil. 13. What is wrong with a good 2 pack epoxy resin floor as it would last for years? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  14. The standard 300h has 17" so thought for winter they would be better & more available. But am unsure of the offset or what width to go for like 7j or 7.5j Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  15. Hi Nick, that's what I did with my last car, but I am struggling to find a set of 17" wheels that I can confirm will fit my 2016 IS 300h F-sport Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  16. Do you both have an additional set of wheels or just have winter tyres put on existing rims? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  17. Customer services are when you need them as important as the car being right for you! I have never been anywhere near a Lexus dealership until I stepped foot into my local at Wolverhampton. Was greeted by a friendly receptionist to welcome me & see if I needed anything particular. Very impressed with the showroom cars displayed all finger mark free & fresh inside. Had a test drive on the same day & placed an order a few days later. Car was in my hands a couple of weeks later, a far cry from my experience at other top brand dealerships. Maybe the long wait for your chosen car is worth waiting for, but when I have decided what I want it is nice to get it within a month. One company if I placed an order in September could only tell me it could be March next year or a bit later??? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  18. I was finding it hard to choose between the blue that you have & the red that I have. But my last car was a light blue & it has been many years since I had red car. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  19. How are you enjoying yours, still have not even gone past 100 miles in mine yet. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  20. Big difference in drive compared to my XF, but the seats are miles ahead for comfort. Cabin area is about the same, but the rear seats fold much better in Lexus than they did in the XF. But there does seem to be a little more suspension noise on rough roads, but it is not anything g too bad. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  21. I will post up what the gen2 difference is when I find out next week. I did not buy it expecting it to be a revised model, this happened after the order so was just a revision to me. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  22. Hi Bluenose1940, it is the IS 300h F-Sport but it is a generation 2 variant which supposedly is the first shipped to the UK. It has a very slight body alteration, so slight the dealer could not find it, so will let me know next week. Can't stop finding reasons to keep going out in it. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  23. Yep, very pleased with the condition on handover & this is the first of the latest upgraded model, dealer was unable to point out what the body difference was to the previous, but he will let me know next week. It's just a shame that the sun did not come out & light up the metalic paint. Will be interesting to see the fuel consumption going to & from work in comparison to my previous 3.0L petrol XF. 24. Well the day has finally come to say goodbye Jaguar hello Lexus! Think it will be a steep learning curve to start with until I get familiar with the menus & locating & changing settings until I am comfortable with it all. First job all ready Done, installation of front & rear dashcams. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  25. I have had it for the last 3 years & apart from a battery drain problem which was sorted out as soon as I purchased it & the air con needing a check as it was not as efficient as it should have been. The car has performed faultlessly, I do not do many mile which is why it is going as a 60 plate with just 26800 miles on it. Has a few extras like heated steering wheel & blindspot mirrors & reversing camera over & above the luxury model that this is. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
