I cant see any reason why the rear speakers wouldn't work after changing head unit. I recently got an IS200 too and want to install a kenwood double din I have laying around. I've order this kit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271098353891 I'll let you know how I get on with it.

My exhaust is blowing really badly at the front. Also the join from the manifold to the center pipe is rotten away. So I'm going to cut behind the flange so I can remove the manifold and then remove the center pipe/cat. I found a used catalytic converter centre part on ebay and ordered a SS decat exhaust manifold. I'm assuming that the 2 cats on the header are pre-cats for emissions when cold and the center cat is the main one. In theory my car will still pass mot emissions as long as the center cat is warmed up? Anyone done this on their is200 and still pass emissions without cats on the manifold? Thanks

Well I went to put the MR2 seats into the lexus and only 3 of the 4 mounting points match. One of the mounts on the back on the MR2 seats mount to the side of center console instead of the floor. Hopefully I can get someone to make 2 brackets up and weld them on the rails at the back so all 4 mounts bolt to the floor. The MR2 seats will connect to passenger seat belt light on the lexus. The MR2 buckets are also a lot lighter than the stock cloth seats

Maybe the nuts are wrong thread size somehow? I would order some aftermarket wheel nuts that are all keyed so you know they cannot be undone by anyone and are also the correct thread size wheel nuts -
Hmm, knock sensors are like lil microphones? My exhaust is blowing really bad the front manifold do you think this could trigger the engine code? Also the car has 2 cats on the manifold and then one on the center is the center one a removable pre cat with no sensor?

Yeah it needs a lot of tlc but I need to sort the exhaust blowing and get it running smooth first before I get the car looking fresh, plus it's been raining since I got the car but I've already done an oil and filter change :P I just recently got the car to use as a second car to use while my subaru is having ecu problems and I recently crashed an MR2 I was using for a daily :/

Earlier today my car came up with the engine check light so I plugged in a obd2 reader and got: Error Code P0325: Knock Sensor 1 – Circuit Bank 1 I've never changed a knock sensor before and not sure where it is located on the car. Anyone got any pics or a guide to change the sensor? Many thanks!

Yea it only takes couple hours to spray,dry and refit definitely worth doing IMO. Could prob a get a few grills done from the same can. It looks good in black, doesn't stand out as a modified just looks like its suppose to be that way

Yes you definitely do! I've never had an oil filter removal, always use a screwdriver and hammer lol So I pierced the oil filter and got the screwdriver though and went to turn it and immediately hit that bar so it didn't untwist. Just saw your post about the brace bar so I removed a 12mm bolt on one side of the bar then pulled it out the way and hey presto I got a full turn with the screwdriver and then removed the filter by hand :) Thanks

Hi, I sprayed my grill earlier today with plastidip and just wanted to show how it turned out I think it looks a lot smarter now it's black instead of grey. Sorry about last pic was dark by time I put it back on the car.

Hello, I've got a bulb out on my speedo so between 20 and 80mph its not lit up at night. I've seen people have posted swapping over to SMDs for a better spread of light and that you can use T5s but I want to know will these bulbs "T5 Neo Wedge Socket Type" fit? I can't find any specific ebay listing advertised for IS200 SMD bulbs. Picked up the lexus today! :) It's got quite a few marks on it but I don't mind as it was a great price for a IS200 S I'll probably try swap the MR2 seats on thursday because I need to give it a little service tomorrow for my piece of mind. Hello, I just joined the forum as I'm going to view a IS200 tomorrow which hopefully I'll be bringing back home. Fingers Crossed! The seats in the car are cloth a with a weird pattern and I'm breaking/scraping a mr2 soon, so I wondered could I swap them out for the bucket seats from a MK3 MR2? Would I need to swap the rails over from the original seats? I know the Mr2 seats don't change height which might be an issue but I normally have my seat low anyway Any advice welcome, Thanks!
